[News] James Cameron's "The Dive"

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
If this movie happens, they should totally get Tania Raymonde (from LOST) to play Audrey, she looks a lot like her and is fluent in French.

Tania Raymonde

Absolutely right
She was awesome in LOST and would fit this role beautifully

She really looks a lot like Audrey, the only question is "how aquatic is she"?
I also loved her in "Malcolm in the middle", she was tough little girl, the one who kick boys a**, just like my girl:ycard

Funny how sometimes disliking is equalled to hate, it makes me think that person jumping to that idea must be Bi-polar

I know this from reading comments on film forums and YT. It's not dislike, it's HATE and it has nothing to do with my Bi-polar

your are right... it's been on the making for a long time.. i think i read somewhere that some footage for the movie was allready recorded when pipin did 170 m is cabo san lucas.

i think it will be a great movie ...with intense drama and breathtaking scenery... definitely help the sport of freediving .

Kars, saw avatar 3d a week ago and while the premise was good with connecting back to nature etc the film itself was drawn out and pretty predictible. the ending was obviouls a 1/4 way through the film and still it dragged on. I appreciated the fact that even though in 3d they did not constantly have things jumping at you.
My daughter having seen 3d christmas carol wished she could have 3d in real life too.......
that took some explaining.

Let's take Natasha McElhone for the role of Audrey and Vin Diesel for Pipin... Quote Jorg.

Vin's name has been thrown around since day one, and I'm with you
on Natasha McElhone as Audrey. Natasha has been one of my favorite's
since Ronin. I wish ever one involved with this project the best.
No one needs to refresh me on all the old drama, I've been around.
All the best, Don Paul

Just finished watching Oprah, I know I know. I was just about to click it when James Cameron was announced as guest.

Obviously they talked Avatar, after some Oprah bs I was hoping she'd ask "what's next?" finally she did

His reply was to take a break now and just chill or something like that.

So it looks like we won't see "The dive" anytime soon, if ever

Ronin was an awesome flick. I have watched it many times and thought Natasha was GREAT.

Robert de Niro is always a good hit (although he'd been useless as Pipin rofl)

One, he's already a top box office name
Two, he looks powerful bald
Three, he's got the barrel of an upper body
Four, he's got eyes similar to Pipin's
Five, he's not entirely lost for acting (no, I mean that!)

I already see him as Pipin in sequences in my head.

you think about him entirly toooo much i think!! hahahaha

but i do agree he would make a good pipin.

Now who is going to PM James C and let him know we approve?
Cheers, Don Paul

Mailing Vin Diesel could also work, maybe Vin wants to do a course in anticipation?

I mean Tiger Woods likes to spearfish in free time, a good way to get away from it all.
Does Vin Diesel like women too? LOL.

I'm looking for an excuse to mail Cameron's office a deck of AIDA playing cards anyway. Maybe I could include some kind of petition letter from the 'freediving community'.

But personally I still have my reservations as to Cameron presenting some gigantic pro-Pipin, BS version of what happened in '02. I'm still insanely angry with Pipin.

And also, what the hell should we write in such a letter, that would be properly representative for the community? Already now there's so much to disagree on.

AIDA cards!!!!!!!! i've been waiting for these for well over 12 months, even tried putting and order in! can i PLEASE have a couple sets?

i understand people have reservation about the story because of what most likely happened, but removing the truth from "a good story" this is the perfect story to show what freediving can be about... if they do it correctly. not ust the competitive ide and a little risk but also the lifestyle and passion that most freediviers poses for the sport. i believe thats what is important to show and this story is a good base for that, doubtless cameron will modify this story heavily.

mind you i dont think he'll be shooting anytime oon, hes currenlty down here in australia shooting a movie about extreme cave divers and the like at Seaworld. so once that is finished then maybe he'll start on the dive.

DD

Yeah, but... You do recognize that some of the community regards Pipin as a quasi-O.J.?

You can order the aida decks from me if you want. I'm still trying to get them available here on DB. You got PayPal?
