[News] James Cameron's "The Dive"

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I was wondering whatever happened to that one. Only thing i ever saw was that trailer a long time ago...

Supposedly, GMW is going to be released in the first half of 2010. Then again, they said it was going to be released about two years ago also. I’m glad to see that it looks as though the film is not dead, but sometimes I think that may just be an illusion. We’ll have to wait and see.

Well... Depends on what his main source is.

Hello Chris! I think I understand your remark. You would be a very good choice as a source, so would a few others. Don't you think so?
This very well might unleash a second round of controversy, some unfinished business some would say...
Nice to hear from you again!

Let's take Natasha McElhone for the role of Audrey and Vin Diesel for Pipin... :D

I had the pleasure to know Audrey very well, I worked for and with her for almost two years.
Her resemblance to Natasha McElhone is outstanding and simply incredible! I would say nobody better suited for that role than Natasha.
As for the rest of the casting, no idea, who will play Ferreras,:king Serra, :martial Wicky,:crutch Tata:duh, Pascal the French deep diver :yack whose reactions and actions are yet so controversial...?

Hi Ricksafer,
Can you tell me what Audrey really was like?

Last but not least...will the film reflect the "saga" with the other character that kept a legal battle for more than two years in a Miami Court against a sue for "defamation" (at a great financial cost for the Plaintiff) which ended in a dismissal... OR, is Cameron just going to ignore and by-pass alltogether this highly publicized and intrinsic part of the aftermath of Audrey's demise?:mute

Are you bound by some court or some agreement?

Can't you explain some positive general impressions? In can case you're not allowed to say, maybe you describe the opposites?

What has the world turned into when people feel or fear of telling some generalities about a fellow human out of the past??

Guys

The film is loosely based on a story of two people written by Pipin. Cameron uses them as an inspiration for a fiction MOVIE.

Please lets not have another "Pipin flame war" on Deeperblue.

To all concerned, a few weeks back I did write the following (and still stand by it):

http://forums.deeperblue.com/general-freediving/85277-news-james-camerons-dive-4.html#post796213

and also Stephan Whelan has written the following

http://forums.deeperblue.com/general-freediving/85277-news-james-camerons-dive.html#post794347

Please people, keep to the topic and refrain from personal attacks. If you have a personal beef with Pipin or James Cameron please knock on their doorbells and have a word.

Cheers,
S-L

No, that's not the case. I'm not bound by any other restrictions but those of my bitter souvenirs of a rather sad and frustrating experience in my professional as well as personal life.
I'm not inclined to revive those feelings, however having said this, the future developments of the issue might alter that perception. I beg your indulgence and shall it suffice for me to say that I knew a great lady, a gentle soul who had the most untimely undeserving demise.:waterwork

Thank you Rick, I hope and pray that you'll be able to face things as they are, have been. I know the feeling of justice is always challenged when a loved one passes away. Maybe you should look a bit more to all the good little moments you shared and understand you did enrich her life. What went wrong can be done better next time, and I'm sure you've changed already to be more cautious and assertive. People cannot change the past, only the perception of it. Clearly you face a drama, but What more is there you can you about it do today?

The reason I'm asking about Audrey is that I want to remember her like a human, not merely a subject in a plot.

Maybe you're starting to get ready to dive into your own mind and face the feelings and facts in you own mind and can make some sense out of it now. Seek some silent solitude, be rested and have this thought process if you're ready. If there are some questions left, write them down for yourself, maybe you'll find an answer later on, but at least they are out of your head on the paper.

Whatever you do don't pressure yourself, and don't even try to answer me before you're absolutely sure you've found some peace.

Love, Courage and Water,

Kars

Hello,
James Cameron's friend attended our film premiere of The Greater Meaning of Water in Hollywood, so he may be up to something. I hope he makes something, that would be incredible in 3d.
In the meantime, we will have a quite different kind of freediving story available soon on DVD with the release of our film. We focus on the transformative potential of freediving, rather than obsession & death.
More info soon on the DVD release.
Thanks

More info soon on the DVD release.

Sky,

I'm very happy to see that you finally finished your film. It will be nice to see a freediving film that does not focus on the "danger and death" element of diving. I've been anxious to see it ever since I ordered the movie about 3 years ago.

Will those old orders be honored? If so, when can we expect them to ship? Who would I contact to make sure you have my up to date shipping information.

Thanks and congratulations,

Ron

Next month (Sept) orders will begin shipping, starting with pre-orders. Hope you enjoy, thanks so much for your patience, it has been a challenging road to get this film made!
