Damn, this brings memories of Benjamin Franz's accident.

Keeping my fingers crossed, get well Carlos!

I hate to hear any type of news like this...I hope he makes a quick and full recovery.

Thank you Linda for the information about Carlos's dive.

If you hear more about his progress please post asap.

We here in Hawaii are all thinking of him and hoping for a full and speedy recovery!

- Coming up having had a beautiful dream.
- The time mentioned at the bottom before the safety feels him start his ascent.
- A slow inflating jacket.
- Numbness in fingers.

He is an amazing freediver. But it sounds like he should have seen the things mentioned above as warning signals. But I guess he is willing to take risks and walk the line.

We all wish him speedy recovery - but we should also wish him to be more careful. There must be better/safer ways of training No-limit?

This Venezuelan website have more information, including statements by Gabriela Contreras. She said Carlos is already off the hyperbaric chamber after 8 hours, ate some fruits and walked all by himself to the bathroom, although "with some difficulties". They will travel to Munich tomorrow for some MRIs and other tests. Carlos is very frustrated she said. He went all the way down to 181 meters but took longer than expected and in the way back was disoriented and needed help. Jose.
