Yeah the load pad is a very nice feature, sounds a nasty injury , it actually came with mono but I wanted dyneema for some reason so changed it ! but your right, after that mullet spun its self up in the dyneema and I nearly cut through it when dispatching the fish , im strongly thinking of going back to mono, tougher/less chance of tangling . What poundage does everyone use?

As far as I'm aware the Mako range are identical to Rabitech which are another S.African manufacturer. There was some kind of a legal dispute over licensing /manufacturing the guns when Mako began but I can't recall the details.
I've got an 85 Rabitech and its a solid little gun. Never used a RA but I guess they will be very similar.

That sounds great Dylan , cheers . I have crimping pliers but need to get some double barrel crimps , anyone know a supplier ive found them hard to find . I know leadertec stock every crimp and bit of rigging gear under the sun but their delivery is extortionate .
Yesterday I spent the day off north of the llyn. Vis ranged from 2m on the reefs to 6m in open water. Flat calm. Plenty of dogs, a few Pollack and loads of spiders. Saw one bass but it was swimin wrong way lol. Took kayak out on low tide. Plenty of mackeral about and 1.5lb Pollack on the deeper reefs (.5m+ out).
Woke today(nefyn area) to a fresh nnw winds. White horses. Headed to aberdaron for the first time. Water was flat, vis was ridiculous. Could see bottom on 8m dives so must have been 10m?? Anyway saw a few bass Inc. a shoal of 1lb fish. Finished the day taking 2, biggest 4.5lbish. Great day and very fishy bay! Looking forward to tomorrow, not sure where I will end up, but can't wait! Struggling with reception, so not sure if the pic has uploaded Cheers Hoppe

I hope you got the black line, not the clear stuff! Black line is infinitely cooler and will result is precisely 48.7% more fish.
