Have you got to ask !get yaa ass in anywhere !!im down but have 5&10 year olds to look after me to stop me doing things i wont to do!the 5 year old is still wide awake (10pm)with the heat and im knackered i was up at 5 this morn after a crap night in a noisey baking hot hotel room ! And a 4 hr drive back in 30 0c joy.its fantastic over here this eve.
north n south vis looks great to day but only manage to snorkel and play and go crabbing and we only got 63 in an hr with 1 mullet head ! !did manage to put my three semi floating prawn pots in check the in morning.Any one get in it looks fantastic.
I managed to get in Thursday and Friday, the first was on the west coast of Anglesey, vis was not as great I hoped, not an awful lot of fish about, but managed to land a decent pollack, I did see two decent sized bass, but too far away to get a shot off. Second day was at Trefor, the vis was a good 10m and although it felt like there should've been fish about, I saw nothing other than small pollack, dog fish and large wrasse, loads of spider crabs about, some really big, so I bagged a few of those and called it a day.
All in all a bit of a disappointing few days fishing, though it was good to get in with such great vis and to enjoy the underwater landscape. I also had the opportunity to try out my new 7mm Polosub wetsuit, there was only two problems i) I didn't add enough weight to account for the extra buoyancy, though I did resolve this on the next dive, it also gave me floaty legs ii) the suit was soo warm that I was cooking for the first 20 minutes in the water, though after three hours I could get out without the slightest suggestion of cold. It's very comfortable, I'm very impressed and would recommend one.
I'm tempted to have another go tomorrow, so if anyone is up for a meet then drop me a line.

morning all! a couple of us are look to be heading down for low tide this afternoon, if anyone is around the eastern bit of the Llyn it would be good to meet up. Could maybe do anglesea....? Not decided yet. We have to get back this eve so prefer not to head down to aberdaron etc

Bro I've read loads about bream at Pwllheli. I've probably been in there more than anywhere els. Yet still never seen one. They must be very skittish.

A black bream was my target fish for the season but after getting a gilthead on my first trip of the season - I think I'm pretty much done for the year rofl
I read that the harbour channel was the place for them... not that I'd try diving there. I know people were getting them off Bardsey... not that that is much help to anyone!
I've heard that they're skittish but having seen some of the vids from Northern France and Portland where spearo's are surrounded by them... I'm not sure... I guess you just have to be in the right place at the right time!
manalive trefor should be fishy but ive never seen much but doggies and a few pollock the odd lobster .good for crabbing with little ones tho.100 0/0 i saw bream on the south not long a go but very skittish as you said.Foxy how did you do?did you find flater water with good vis n fish ?Had fun getting my pots back think some one had interfered with them unzipping the access pannel and one had moved 60m found it when finning back to shore when i hit a shole of bass trying to eat the bait very impressive sight so many so close.ended up with 13 crabs but a dozen or so prawns most 4 in long .fab weekend even if i didnt get in with a spear !

Fab dive on the North side this afternoon with MattBarlow . New spot to both of us. Loads of fish about, some real monsters too, biggest wrasse ive ever seen, couple of shoals of good mullet and couple of shoals of big bass. also a few single bass patrolling about. If only we had been a bit more with it, we would have got more than the solitary one I picked off when hiding in the weeds. Sadly we only found the 'hot spot' a bit late in the day, but ready for it next time! Also surprised a seal sitting on the bottow when i poked my head round the corner of a rock to come pretty much face to face with him..... Fortunately he was even more shocked than me and did a runner! Wish id had the go pro! Great dive thoug, lots to see!
Glad you like the suit! The water now is exceptionally hot though. Yesterday it was giving 19-20 in most of the places, never seen something like this before. I was literally cooking myself, I could have fished with a 5 and it would have been my first time ever in the Uk with such a thin suit (I know it is normal for some or most of you guys!). Colder and milky water after the first 10 meters though. Tried some off shore wrecks but I got frightened by a big seal, incredibly how they can dive to 15-20m with just a couple of movement of their tail.
Plenty of bass around but this year I am more into pollacks and it seems to be a good year for them. Bored to eat bass and my gf like it more too. Rofl

I am waiting they have the lovely roe in October. I have an open agreement with a stinky friend. I keep all the roe and he keeps the stinky mullets!
Not this Saturday but I am definitely up for heading over fairly regularly. Had a cracking dive with Foxy on Sunday....

Don't seem very skittish to me, but they are in the presence of the fish whisperer, Kevin Daley, so it's understandable
