This reminds me the other day when I was fishing with an Italian friend of mine. We went to a place where there are always large school of mullets and occasionally some good bass. That day I had seen only mullets, when we then arrived back to the boat the guy told me he had seen plenty of bass and actually shot one and lost it. While we were discussing Italian style (screaming) and I was telling him that they were surly mullets and he was arguing they were absolutely bass I noticed an half dead mullet floating and slowly moving towards the boat with the current. You should have seen the face of the guy! roflroflroflrofl

Hi all,
I'm heading to Anglesey this Sunday hoping to find some clear water after tomorrow's forecasted wind. Although I'm not asking for anyone's secrete spots, if anyone could PM some areas I could explore on the east coast (guessing west and north will have low vis?) that would be a massive help! I should have my kayak with me too.

Had a short dive south of nefyn could see a definite line of murk along the area but got in anyway and swam out to the clearer water which was in fact very good vis. Varied between clear and the border, shot a fair mullet just before an ascent, was low and tore off! Saw a few small bass on the border of the murk but bolted as they came into sight. Backtracking, got a reasonable mullet then and called it a day.
Well done Manic, good to see someone getting in.
Don't like the look of these winds that are coming - somewhat spoils my South Coast attack that I had planned for next week - might have to stretch my lungs and try some of my deeper North Coast spots.
Can't be bothered with the drama of taking the boat - mental note, ALWAYS buy a trailer with your boat, it makes things SO much more user-friendly!

I will have a swim Sunday regardless of the vis lol . I'm just back from Jersey where I saw few bass in some of the most bass likely places I have ever swum (plenty of other fish though, even speared a white bream!) so hoping to see a few silver's this weekend.

He who dares usually wins, but not today. Spent a few hours bumping into rocks, jellyfish and trying to avoid anglers lobbing mackeral feathers (target practice for them I'm sure ) in about 1m vis around Moelfre - Anglesey.
Ended up in the kayak catching loads of mackeral, so wasn't too bad an afternoon.
Back to the Midlands for work

Its no good I will have to get me hands on it soon as poss! Never seen one or had a play can't get me head round the loading and band's sure it probably simple and easyer than my 90 !sorry for being dumb but is purple heart a make ?material? Old sheep bone !LOL.it look fantastic.
