Think il be down sat or sun . The way I see it the fish don't vanish completely, they are only ever doing 3 things feeding , traveling somewhere to feed or resting/sleeping . They will always be somewhere, but im witth you bro I don't know those areas ! Im much more confident on the flood . Oh by the way im putting an order in with these guys http://www.makospearguns.com/ so if anyone wants anything let me know as it will cut postage for everyone as its air freight and expensive. They have some good stuff and the dollar is good at the moment.

Just come across a basic offshore reef finder:

Not the most user friendly thing but kind of interesting - check the "key" section in the top left to see what's what - interesting to see a large bedrock reef in Aberdaron bay, I think you can just about see it on Google Maps - I've swum a long way out in that direction with Daf & Winky - stunning, undulating scenery but we certainly didn't hit a reef - I'd guess it would 10m+ deep. Not sure it would be worth it, I've always found shallow spots fish so much better on the Llyn...

The map is definitely not complete - I can see some large areas I've dived that are rocky as hell but not marked as reef.

Totally agree Will, they can go that far... I'm just never sure where to go though - I can say with 99% confidence that I'll always catch on a rising or high tide, as soon as it turns though it's a different story... I don't really get why they leave though - there are some South spots that always have 3 or so meters of water over them but as soon as the tide turns, the fish just vanish.

The few offshore reefy / rocky bits that I have found are just empty apart from crabs, lobsters, prawns and the odd pipe fish. They don't hold any fish at all. Very puzzling. Maybe we'll have to start tagging some mullet with GPS trackers ;)

Yeah a bit of tagging would be awesome! Oh wondering if you could please send us a pic and or description of the friction lever that controls the steering friction on your outboard . My 15 came without one, ive managed to source the discs and lever , everything apart from the nut . But not sure how it goes on in what order. the exploded parts diagram I found doesn't make it clear atall. Also I don't suppose the nut says what M size it is on it as I need to get one. Cheers bud , just whenever you get chance , don't rush to do it . This is what mine looks like , friction free steering!

Scary stuff! I usually have mine set to at least 50%, maybe more - I don't fancy zooming along with zero friction! Of course, I'll take a load of photos for you next time I've got the boat out, which should be Friday - I'll do all angles for you :)

You are the man ! Yeah a bit annoying as the ppl I got it off who were a 2bit outboard shop said it didn't make any difference to the outboards function and I didn't need it ! I had already left feedback before I even knew there was supposed to be a lever thing there . Cheers , good luck friday
