O2 Co2 Tables

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Freedivers' dream thread - now, that's a great idea! Let's start one!
:) Ofer

now this is something different .. :)
go ahead lungfish .. start the thread and let us freedive into our dreams .. !

Hey, thanks for the encouragement, this should be interesting!

see General Freediving..... "Freediving and Dreaming - Do you swim in your dreams?"

Love that MDR! New wet static of 3:45 followed by dolphin-boy imitations on pool bottom for 2 mins at a pop. Still waiting to passout!rofl

that explains alot. That is why i set my new personal best of 2:30 (30 secs better than previous best) after doing my first ever CO2 table. Im just getting started because im going to hawaii in a few months. I expected a really short time on that one, but now i know why it was so much longer. I tried it just too see what i would do. I only took about a 1:30 or 2 min break after the table, so i bet if i had waited a little longer i might have done even better than that. Im gonna have to try tonight.

Yep, results can be dramatic. If you wait a little before you do your static and just float on your face and breath through a snorkel for ten minutes or so, maybe concentrate on basic breath-up, you might be able to initiate the MDR before you static....

Where are you going in Hawaii? I leased a place in Kona and have been inviting freedivers and spearos to come and stay on the cheap. You can email me at lungfish001@yahoo.com A number of deeperblue folks are already scheduled to come and stay with me, several are coming for the Performance Freediving Clinic in Kona, others are spearos or vacationing freedivers. I am inviting folks to stay as long as they want ($1000 a month if they want to come and train). I am five minutes from a prime freediving spot....

If you study how one initiates the MDR (Mammalian Diving Reflex), and you are enhanced through tolerance training, you will enjoy long and very comfortable submersions...
Yesterday I did some static training in the pool, and it was my best ever pool static session. I didn't go for a max because I have had some chest trouble recently and didn't want to push myself, but the times I did were very good. They were absolutely effortless, and I was more relaxed than I have ever been in any other pool training. Something is different.

Hope it lasts!

I don't want to burst the bubble of glorious and peaceful experiences under the surface, however it is possible these threads are promoting a widespread possible misconception of the Mammalian Diving Reflex. I have initiated a thread to deal with the topic at:
[ame="http://forums.deeperblue.net/showthread.php?p=593905#post593905"]Do you know what MDR is?[/ame]

Why should you look into the thread? Because none of the posts I have seen in these threads lately show me a strong suggestion that the participants are experiencing MDR. Maybe that is meaningful to you in your interest of reaching the best possible experience.

Hi all... This is my first post and im feeling a little too thick about these O2 CO2 tables... can someone please explain how they work and what i need to do in step by step detail cuz ya like i said im thick :t :head

Thanx in advance
