My apnea workout is done on Nordic Track or stair machine. I do apnea every 2 minutes of the workout, typically 45 minutes long - 20 seconds hold in the first 1/3 of the session, 25 seconds in the second third, and 30 seconds in the last third. I keep my heart rate at 80%+ of max throughout.

Wow Peter. That sounds pretty serious. Do you mind sharing your static pb's?

Hi Christian,

The workout I'm doing is for CO2 tolerance - my breathing during the exercise keeps up with the O2 demand so I don't come close to a samba or blackout (at least within the duration and effort of the workout). But it feels like pouring habanero sauce into my bloodstream!

My statics is pretty mediocre right now because I haven't been training the static tables lately. I tried one in July and got 4:30. I did managed 6:02 earlier this year, tho'. You get better at what you put effort into!

Peter S.
