possible new fin technique?

Hello all,

I was thinking about why cnf is around 70 meters, while with fins it is only 100 meters respectively, and of course the answer to this is because of the fact the with no fins you have a 'glide phase', allowing you to use less strokes then with fins. My question is, could you use this with fins? Instead of many normal width strokes, maybe do two wide strokes and and a short glide phase? Im not sure if this would work or if anyone has tried it, but it seems like its possible it could be more efficient. I plan on tring this later today if the soreness in my legs goes away (too much running), but until then any input would be appreciated

Sounds like what I do in my dynamics actually.. I also think ant williams uses a hint of it in dynamics too

A friend of mine uses a pretty wide frog kick with a long glide on his desent, as you describe. He goes down very slowly and comes up fast. It seems to be very efficient, at least down to 120 ft.
