Problem with D4

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Hi fcallagy.

Yes i'm type of do it all your self if you'r pissed of type of man, but now (dunno why) i did'nt think of that :).

At the moment i'm in Koht Tao Thailand and i could send my watch to Phuket for resetting. Of course i would have to pay all the costs by my self coz i bought it from Finland.

But question remains if the resetting will repair my watch?

I'm here in Thailand to do my freediving studies and i bought my D4 just for that reason so i'm little bit a depressed of my situation :).

But thaks for your wast response fcallagy.

Juhani

The D4 should not be service by anyone other suunto, I would NOT take the batery out. You are going to void your warranty.

Just got mine back yesterday all fixed up so happy camper again just had to pay postage.

Feargus

What was the problem, since suunto Brazil messed up, I never got to know ?

Was it a firmware update ?

Not really sure as I sent it via the shop I bought it through so didn't get an explanation but its the same watch alright. Just hope it stays that way now.

Good to know, I am somewhat concern know, the D4 I have starts with a 9 just like yours Jholmb. I wonder how comum is this problem.

I'm guessing its not a lot as this thread is fairly quiet apart from us and there must be plenty of D4 users now. The issues with the d3 were huge in comparison.

The suunto guy in Brazil, if you want to believe him, I am not sure if I do, told me he had three more with the same problem.
I am sure we don't have a whole lot of D4.

Well the D4 is gone back again same issue. i asked the dealer to requesta new one this time so we will see. heading to sharm at the start of May and really need it now for training prior to going but gonna have to wait again. Getting pretty naffed off now.

Feargus, I'm probably taking two watches, my old faithful mosquito and the new loony F10. If you have no luck with yours I can certainly lend you one when we are there.

well got the d4 back again and was diving with it on yesterday and all seems well. Said they had replaced the electrical mode whatever that is if its anything at all. So far so good in any case.
