sharks in the uk

Hey Spearhead Sharks are not all bad, perhaps one day you will enjoy seeing a live one in the sea? Look what happened to this unfortunate Porbeagle that was caught in Guernsey yesterday! He or she, lost not only its life but its dignity as well! To be honest I brought some to eat but I dont think I would like to kill one. I know that is a bit hypocritical but they do taste nice. I think I have been lucky to see some big sharks while diving in warmer seas than we have in the UK. I will never forget the few sharks I have seen but dont be put off diving because we need young people like you to tell everyone else that, not all sharks will hurt you. I think if you only go diving with an adult & stay close to the shore you will be very safe:)

Spearheads....this is just my humble opinion, but, try to always keep balanced emotions on these gory realities.
I suppose it's harder these days getting defining experiences as a teenager in the UK, but this really is an ingredient from what happens the world over. Think of the bigger picture....Johnny Shark would would quite happily devour Mr Salmon there, but as the cookie crumbled, Mr Foxfish is eating Johnny Shark first!rofl And so the world turns.....I'm getting dizzy!:hungover

Come on Guys who's going to help this young chap?
Tell you what Spearhead, convince your parents to come on holiday to Guernsey, I will take you out mate. :)

I fish Torquay and need a bud too as my current bud will go home to Finland soon. Weather was looking good for Torquay right up untill the weekend :head

Spearheads, give me a PM sometime, no fish on my last trip a month ago but maybe this strong so'westerly will bring in some warmer water and fish! I wasn't really thinking of getting wet for another 2-3 weeks but all this nice weather makes it feel like summer so I could be tempted.:)

Jez you only live up the coast from us Dorset spearo's.Maybe we could try out the Lyme Regis -Beer area together sometime.

Sure thing glowworm, I sometimes manage a evening session at Branscombe in the summer, pants really and usually involves a long walk up the beach, which isn't always realistic when the sun is rapidly disappearing (its not me it bothers, its my girl, gets worried :inlove ).

'Beer has always looked like, well, Beer. Turgid. I'm sure its good on its day, all those fishing boats can't be wrong.

Would like to visit Portland this summer. Plan a major exploration of the South Hams too tho. PM me.

Somebody posted on the Dorset 2006 forum that they were looking for people to spear with around Torbay, I think this weekend or next(?).

Most shark attacks happen in 1-2m of water 3-5m from the beach. Its never the shark that you see thats the problem its the one you dont.. Thump.:rcard
