So what are they?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

oh.. that's a good one.... this changes by the minute and I have more than 2200 songs on my I pod.... but here we go.....
My current playlist is 3165 songs long. That is the new albums playlist, most of which is probably less than 8 weeks old (it's a bi**h to sort it every once in a while).
I've just noticed due to this thread that I have over 100gb's of music (last time I checked it was 60gb 1.5 years ago).
So I feel kinda unable to comply a list... but this thread is a good read. :)

I'll mention my top 5 of today I guess (which are usually heard within an album):
Again / Archive (perfect for the first song of the morning)
Tao of now / Saul Williams
Red or green / Trisomie 21
Marian / Nouvelle Vague
Teach me how to fight / Junior Boys

Even though I'm an ole hippie/ rocker, can't live without:

1. Beethoven's 5th Symphony
2. Beethoven's 9th Symphony
HEY, someone has to have some CLASS around here!
3. Born To Be Wild-Steppenwolf- partied to this for a decade!
4. Chopin Nocturnes
5. Mozart Piano Concertos

I used to HATE Classical Music but I have a son who was training to be a concert pianist and heard classical music(played beautifully on our grand piano) 6 hours daily for 10 years!!

Five worse:

Pretty much anything modern especially RAP.

Calypso,

I'd add the Beethoven - Missa solemnis and Grieg's Peer Gynt on the classical list!

Samdive - you should try the Zero 7 albums - these might be the reason ppl invented the u/w walkmans!

To the Classical List I would also add:

Miserere Mei - Allegri
Agnus Dei - Barber
Canon in D - Pachabel

Tricky one Alison !

Currrently seem to have this stuck on play :

-- Amadou & Mariam : Taxi Bamako (Dimanche a Bamako)
-- Tinariwen : Dualahila Ar Tesninam (Amassakoul)
-- Ali Farka Toure : Saukare (Niafunke)
-- Death Cab For Cutie : Summer Skin (Plans)
And a spot of Tom Waits, Sufjan Stevens, Zakir Hussain, Mingus, Tosca(J.A.C is a pretty chilled album)... oh and Goldie Lookin Chain (local boys from your area Alison ! A pretty picture of Wales...)
Ed
