Looks good Nick!

What do you watch out for on rays always been a bit wary of them lol!

I dont look out for anything on a ray. Some have a few spines but nothing like you get from a bass. More slime than any thing else to be honest. Dont do a Steve Irwin!!

Having bought a 7mm Cressi Technica over a month ago I've been dying to try it out and I finally got the chance last Friday afternoon (1/03). Feeling rather self conscious about wearing a full camo suit I went to Heybrook Bay east of Plymouth where I thought it would be quiet. The path to the beach has collapsed since I was there last so it was quite a scramble to the water.

The trip was pretty uneventful except for being damn cold on the face at first. Visibility was about 5m but I didn't see any fish only loads of blue/grey/green starfish and stunning weed colours.

Before I go next time I'll need a set of gloves and socks, it was damn hard getting my fins off and as for walking... Still that will mean a new set of fins as well

Has anyone got any tips on getting a wetsuit jacket off? On other suits I've always had zips and in the end I had to drive home for help

That's great thanks. I use diluted shower gel for getting the suit on but great tips for getting it off.

Would love to go for a dive with the famous shiny1 but got family commitments, another time! Hope you and whoever takes your offer up has a good dive.
All the best.

I would join you Nick, but I'm already out on a charter boat. Might drop in for a night dive in the evening though.

Good luck tomorrow Nick, take no prisoners!!!!!!

Had a drive along the bay today. Vis looked around half a meter close in so its s parting to clear a bit.

Happy Hunting!

This view is about is good as it got this afternoon. Almost overheated on the walk down it was that warm out of the wind. Vis 3 to 4m in close, slightly less further out. No fish seen except a few sand eels. Good to get in and stretch the lungs and legs on the walk back up the cliff.

Sand eels are good! At one time & not that long ago... sand eels were a pain as they obscured the visibility & now they are like hens teeth!!!
