-Comanche 75 used three times, armed with 20mm Cressi G20 rubber bands
-Cressi reel with 30 meters clear monoline
-Two shafts (a brand new Seatec Top Extreme tahitian and a 6,5 threaded shaft) and 5 prong trident.
Anyone interested up there? (before you ask, I have no idea how much is the shipping cost to the UK...)

Tempting, it sounds like a good deal but I've been told that I need to catch more fish before buying anymore gear! (A fair point ). I am also paring down my gear, trying to reduce clutter at the moment. I've just contacted a couple of pals to see if they are interested though.

The rock you call the lead stone has some big bass we fish there of a boat, on the fish finder a 10 meter spike of rock is on the right hand side facing towards hopes nose, have not dived it, i would like to but the current is strong as you found out.

The weather has gone crap since yesterday so not diving for me today.:rcard

Hey all,
I went and had a look araound berry head on friday. Wow! what a place!
Spearheads- Do you have any guides for spearfishing from there?? I scrambled along the waters edge (brixham side) untill I got to the old quarry-what a creepy place that is! I could n't get all the way around the point from there but that side looked pretty fishy!
There were a couple of old boys working there who said the rocks along from broadsands are popular for snorkeling. Has anyone been there??

See thats the problem with fishing from the shore or boat. You never know how big the poor little sod is going to be when you get ready to rip its mouth apart with the removal of the hook. At least we get to watch them with no harm done. The worst the little ones get from us is our imagination that he is sitting on the Tescos fish counter!

People tend to look at us as the bad guys cause they think we go in the water and just shoot the millions of fish along our shores,
What people dont understand is that for the most part we choose the size and type of fish we kill.we choose the amount of fish we kill and have a very good understanding of leaveing fish in our hunting grounds so that we have hunting grounds in the future.

People would quite happily give us the dirty look when they see us coming out the water with one or two fish and then pat the fisherman on the back whos got a bucket of half dead undersized fish or thrown back the now damaged fish they caught earlier.

I give up on people who think spear fishing is bad. They sit and preach about something they have no idea about.

i feel the need to stick up for are rod and line fishing friends as 99% of us, me being one of them, take great care of the fish we catch and care for the environment just the same as us spearos. its just the ignorant and a few mindless tits that mess it up for everybody.
And what is it with the undersized fish in the supermarkets?

well said scottie3030. I to am a keen angler and have seen this first hand, 1 bad apple that spoils the whole damn bunch.

I fish alot down brixham breakwater and it breaks my heart to see someone with a big wrasse in a bucket,,,,,I mean whats the point. but like you said scotti3030 99% of us are good.

some spots around torbay like hopes nose look like scene's out of saw, with all the fish chucked around and black bags full of mackerel still flapping about alive, the majority of tourists don't know how to kill a fish humanly:rcard . These are the people that give sea fishing a bad name. That's why i think a sea rod licence could possibly put tourist of the idea of buying a cheap rod and heading down to the local pier.
