Hi Scott,I've got my car back I bargain it with a couple of fishesrofl . I dont know about the size but you can have a look to the pics, sorry about the quality but the pics that I've got with the camera are too big and I cannot send to the thread.Cheers.Hi Tonyiannu glad to hear you enjoyed Babbacombe it is a great dive just a bitch trying to get your car back up the hill HaHa . What size was the spider crab you caught?
Thanks for your advise,I will do exactly the same but I will add the meat to the tomato sauce and cook some spaghetti (italian stile mate).Cook spider crab like edible crab or lobster; place in plenty of boiling salted water and cook for 10 mins or so. Remove from pot, allow to cool then crack claws and body to remove meat. It is much fiddlier with spider crabs than with your normal crab but for me the meat is much sweeter with spiders. If you are on beach you can boil them in seawater.

It says rain?In the water you are wet anyway,so WHO CARES?Good luck man!Nice catch Tony. I find chopped spring onions with crab is the way forward .
Making trip out to thurlstone friday morning with my buddy as I cant wait any longer to have a nose around for some pollack. The weather man says Rain I say I DONT CARE I need to get in.
Hi Andy I saw the brown water but it doesnt look so nice to eat but it smells ok.The brown meat in spider's ends up liquid after cooking. I sometimes eat this like a soup and its very rich. Pity it doesn't stay solid as in edible crabs.
Yes,spearhead is right your problem is that you have to start to equalize as soon you start to feel a bit pressure into your hears even before is better.you can also do some exercize at home or before diving just to improve your eardrums flexibility.Dived meadfoot today. Saw wrasse, doggies and a few small pollack but nothing worth eating so left them. Half way through my dive I went down to about 4 meters only to have an almighty pain go through both my ears and the back of my head. Now this is my first proper dive this year and probably the deepest ive been this year. Now if I go half a meter down my ears start to hurt. I got out the water about 2 hours ago and they still feel a bit tender.
Dived along hopes nose area today, plenty of mullet about today but only one bass which i missed. total catch 2 mullet one conger and a crab.
I sold the two mullet and half the conger to the people that climb the rocks around anstey cove.![]()
Post a pic later of the half conger.
