Dived babbacombe, 4 crabs, saw some massive spider crabs and a few flounders.

i dived babbacome today too. I think I may have seen you spearheads! Didn't see any bass or mullet but their was a lot of life in the water today. Lots of cuttle fish. I managed to spear two mackrell from a shoal! Saw a nice big lobster and teased him out of his hole but then bottled it as I never picked up live lobster before. Is their a knack to it? I don't want to loose a finger!!

No i dived with out the gun. I was the diver with the mirrored lens and camo suit.

Yes I did see you then- i thought it might have been you. I watched you for a while as I was eating my mackerel. You certainly don't hang about do you! You covered some distance today!
Have you heard that the pub has been bought by the multi millionaire Peter dacavvery? (spelling?) He wants to start building stuff and making it more of a tourist thing down there. not sure I like the sound of it! It doesn't have the planning yet but if he gets it it will certainly change the place.
I will say hi next time I see you spearheads. I get a boat next week, if you know any good spots i gladly give you a lift!

Dived Ansteys Cove last night after work (not a night dive) at high tide. Saw a young lad leaving the waterfront with a trident head on a speargun as I was going in, anyone on here?
Plenty of fish about. Big shoals of mackeral chasing fry. Speared one but it tore off before I could grab it:head Quite a few bass but either too small or too fast! One shoal of mullet seen. Plenty of doggies, big ones too. Lots of small white jelly fish. Water is clearing up, should be good for the weekend when the wind turns offshore again. A beautiful dive which made me feel so much better after a crap day at work

South side, Hopes Cove direction. Stayed in Ansteys though, couldn't be bothered to swim around the corner. Fishiest I've seen it there, shame I couldn't land anything really!

Really? You know last weekend my girlfriend and I camped on the flat by the pinnacle, hell of a climb down but what a spot! Thought I would get up early and go for a fish. Left our car in the car park at ansteys with all my gear in. As I was just falling asleep my girlfriend said " oh I hope the cars all right tonight- you would be so gutted if all your spearfishing stuff gets nicked!"
Needless to say, I had a sleepless night!!
Thankfully it was ok but I will think twice about leaving things in the car next time.

I tend to park in Otter Nurseries car park if I'm fishing off Long Quarry Point (as its known on the OS map). As long as your discreet with your kit you probably wont get hassled. Having said that I've never done it at night and can't suggest its any safer!
It is a nice spot down there (if you don't fall off the cliff on the way down!), usually its covered in chavs and general scum though so I've never been tempted to camp!

The torbayfishing website forums have had quite a few reports of cars been broken into along that area. One poor bloke who was in a wheelchair had his tyres slashed. It breaks my heart to read these sorts of reports as we live in such a loverly part on the country and its ruined by idiots who dont care. sad really
depends on the burberry factor but usually 10000 points and double if he's got a can of stella in his hand
Dived today 2 bass and one sole, no were as big as magpies monster.
The viz has fallen down to 2 meters again.
My bass were speared at the same time with one shot, lucky.
