geebee, Tribs, I have those exact fins and I think they great. Im 21st and they motor me around even beating my dive buddy who is fitter then me . For £29 you cant go wrong
Geebee you could always get a pair of rock pool shoes they sell in the beach shops as they will easily fit in a small bag when you in the water.

I went diving with Janner and one of his friends last Sunday off a beach near Stoke point. We went out on an incoming tide. There were bass everywhere! Largest ones were about 3-4lb. I had a big one tear off the spear and a smaller one fell off as well. Janner had his own share of bad luck. Only one bass landed by his friend. BOOO! Pulled a nice crab off the reef though.
GeeBee I got my fins from the same guy. Really helpfull. Depending on what type of wetsuit you looking for, I bought a lomo suit as they have sizes for the larger man

Just got back from a trip to Anstey cove. Didn't even bother going in as the vis looked real bad. There was quite abit of swell as well. Should have took my surf board instead of my spear gun! Went in on Sunday at ansteys had my first mullet, well for about 5 seconds before it managed to get off! Vis was about 3 metres then but now is about 1/2 a metre.

Like everyone has been saying, the visability has been crap today. The bit of east in the wind has rubbed the coast the wrong way and the bottom is up.
Went in at Ladram, which is a bit like Torbay, where any east blows straight in and churns up the sand. Saw nothing of any note apart from a magnificent, feisty little blenny who was the fattest little chap you've ever seen. He took great exception to my hand being on his rock!! Bless!! Hauled out after an hour, changed and went back to shower. 2 hours later I was sick as a dog, Ladram water NOT for drinking!! In tomorrow on my usual spot, Budleigh Reef - stick to what you know, it won't make you sick!!

Well done! Viz doesn't look too hot. Have the dive gear in the car and hoping to leave work at 4pm for a dip. Torquay is closest (work in Newton Abbot), Budleigh should be clean but with a decent tidal flow, Thurlstone is the best viz right now but there were bugger all fish last time and it's at least an hour from here and half again on the trip home. Hmmm, decisions decisions...

You're probably in as i post this but viz was excellent over the low tide and i was able to get out over the very furthest kelp beds. For the first time i saw more than one Bass and i actually managed to take one today, my first ever!
I found three Bass hovering in a hole with a gigantic Wrasse and they didn't spook at all. I think they took confidence from the larger Wrasse who was unphased. Took a breath descended into position and dinner was served!
Saw fleeting glances of Mullet but they seemed to be more towards the river water were viz was 0! More Pollack than usual as well, the Bass were generally sat on the fringe of the sandy patches and when the small Pollack silhouetted
themselves against the dark bottom, wham! Nice to watch.
Starnge lack of Crab down there though, only one spider seen the whole time.
