Spearheads are you the matt hill that kicked my arse at that spearfishing weekend not long gone? :p

Joe

Shiny don't stop posting your catches, as long as the fish are caught fair & square & you eat them, then that is what this thread is all about.
You have almost double the points to post so I think most of us appreciate you skill as a spearo & your contribution to the site.

Shiny's just lucky, he's not in my class rofl only joking of course master. Thanks for the tip on where to try tomorrow. I am going to avem boy so watch this space.

Ha yeh I didn't really see it in that light! Have you got the results for that weekend? It would be nice to see how many points I did actually get. Cheers DaveO

Joe

P.S any update on the worlds? I hope keith catches a biggun! :)

I have'nt been out for 2 weeks.A family can eat a lot of fish in that time.I think i will do like most do on here now, just talk about it, how, where, what gear to use and when to go,without the mention of catching anything.
Shiny, don't stop posting catches. You're eating them and, I for one, like to read of them.

You keep on posting Shiny1. Would be wonderful if you could provide us novices with a rundown of your kit mate. looking to upgrade several areas - fins - snorkel etc so to see what a regularly successful spearo recommends would be useful. Cheers

Well done Scott, nice fish.
Shiny keep posting, as it seems that the only time I see a decent fish these days is on this forum!!!
Hoping to get in the water this weekend with Tribs at Budleigh depending on the weather. If not Buds then maybe down to the bay.
Cheers North

lovely catch Scott, well done. I'm off for a dive this lunchtime and would like to be showing a couple fish like that later today. I'm going to take the rod as well in case its shock viz.

You crack on mate as it gives me something to read as none of the Dorset lot are doing much at the moment.:):):)

Nice catch Scott!

Shiny1 what weight was the best bass u've had? That beast in your last pic was a right monster!! Keep the pics coming chap.

Ok guys I saw some chatt about vests that go under suits & thought I had found a good one.

So it appears not so good now as there is little space for a mask let alone a snorkle:head

It's Neil Pryde Diving Vest 'not', was only £25 so may cut bits off it to make it fit!

Happy Days

Good size Bass Scott, very nice. The one on the right looks familliar. Think I might have seen him off Berry Head on Sunday. However It would appear that he diddnt get away from you.
Keep fish pics coming Shiny 1. The chefs at work always enjoy a good gander as do I.
Bought a rod and Line today as I have gotten a savage ear infection. And can't get in for two weeks :rcard

Dave what the hell are you doing getting an ear infection at the most important time of the season ?

Hope you get better soon mate.

ive heard theres cod in at the moment and I fancy a few of them for the dinner table. some of the local fishermen at work were catching 2lbers over the weekend. and reckon they should be around until december.

This Shiny chap's winding me up more than a daily Robert Preston BBC Financial Crisis report.

While I'm stuck in work and the weather is constantly churning the sea into what can only be described as porridge, I nip on to the forum to find yet another monster on display.

How on earth do you get the time to go as much as you do ?.

Cracking fish.

After weeks stuck inland prayers were answered and I managed to escape to the coast for a few hours today. Arrived in Torbay for sunrise and high tide and spent an hour and a half seeing nothing other than wrasse, small pollack and a cuttlefish :(

Spent another half hour looking for scallops and only found one undersize one :(

Decided to head for the cliffs and try and get a few photos of anemones etc and maybe a crab or two for the pot. Found some pink finger anemones and some small crabs and then I looked in a hole and found this monster looking back at me. After a fairly protracted struggle he was in the bag - 5lb 14.5 oz :)
