Brixham holds viz for the first and second day of strong southerly s then all the dirt works its way around into the breakwater area and it becomes like soup.

the dredgers work that area heavily when there's southerly s and have been all week. It breaks my heart to watch, they were so close the other day I could of pissed onto the wheelhouse BUT you never know unless you try I know I wont be.

Mate you should give it a go... always worth pissing on something new!!!!roflroflroflMy favourite would be unscrupulous inshore netters and they don't even have wheelhouses normally.

Mate - Southerlies in full force not sure there will be anywhere on south coast - what about North Cornwall/Devon coast Scott

Not looking good James I had a look at some of the Newquay webcams and not looking good.

On the plus side my mates got 4 good size brown crab for me to pick up

Had to happen sometime I suppose. Love the wording - harpoon gun sounds much more impressive than speargun. Perhaps he was trying to catch a whale?

Looks like the govt. started cutting the police budgets just a little too late. Let's hope they cut them deep enough that they find better things to do than abusing the law to harass the general public. I guess the British police have rarely/never been this low in the public esteem as they have been in recent years - hopefully the only way is up (but that's rarely the case ). If they'd really anticipated trouble, they'd most likely have stayed well away or written a risk assessment.

Anyone else old enough to remember this chap?

Well just got back from a week in Challaborough; no chance of getting in there or anywhere close.
Drove to hallsands, but no joy. Ended up in Babbacombe and had about 3-4 meters vis, managed 3 nice mullet smallest 3.5 lb and the biggest just over 4!! I got one from around the right hand side of the pier and the others close in against the rocks on the shoreline as you walk towards the cliff railway.

Went back the next day and nothing, vis was a little worse.

Hi All,

A report with not much to report sadly. Managed two hours today, saw some huge wrasse in caves, plenty of Bib/Pout in holes and not alot else. Mackerel on the handline on the way in and viz to 5m easily on the bottom yet less than 1m at the surface.

Hi James,

Well, the question I always ask myself is: Is this this the last one of the year? Answer - no. Water was still do-able even with my leaky suit. I think the frosts may have taken it away from 14c that Scott got. Was that in the bay Scott (Enclosed water?) Having a few cod up this way so water must be cooler. The Steptoe in me wants to get in as I know where there is a pristine yet lost lobster pot lodged in the bottom near where I keep my boat and I want it! Storms will hopefully abate and i'll give it a go!

No haven't found a buyer yet but its a lousy time of year to sell it Scott - there's a chap in Scotland who's interest but lets see... One thing though I have been collecting up the step by step build photos of my (and Ricky's) new little boat from SA - once its finished I'll put them on here - very excited... CSki 444... Gotta love it

Awesome Boat!!!!! I saw Colins photo's on them a while back, more stable than the cski 440 and if it handles half as well as the 440 then you've got yourself one hell of a boat

That sounds interesting James but, I cant google up anything on a CSki 444... ?
How are you going to ship it from SA?
