probably the best thing to do would be to get hold of some Epoxy resin i.e. from a surfboard ding-repair kit and ideally some carbon tape (with real carbon fibres not the look alike stuff) if you cant get carbon then surfboard glass may do it.
It will probably add a bit of stiffness to the fin tho.

Thanks Johnny and notht1..... I will have a go with the resin and the carbon tape. got a few surf shops around here that should have all that.

I dont think it will take much to fix it, just being safe really incase it turns into a 5 inch crack!!! lol

Drill a very small hole at the end of the crack, should stop it growing!

Have you tried superglue? That's what I try first for most things (the thicker stuff usually works better than the watery-stuff), if that doesn't work epoxy resin is super-strong but can get messy/stiff/thick if you're not careful.

if its just 5mm, couldn't you just reshape the end of the fin to remove the crack? Cant promise you wouldn't be finning around in circles if you didn't make sure the other one was equal :)

I too would be tempted to try araldite (epoxy resin) glue.

Now that would be special - what a great idea (new ark royal reef). Not sure where the guys behind that 'causes' piece are going with it though - in the past we have used the government lobbying website e.g. for the potential EU threat to spearing... Looked a bit hit and miss to me...

Hey guys just wondering if any of you ever take wrasse for eating? I have heard various opinions on this and I know about the biology of wrasse but they look pretty meaty to me and I was wondering if anyone recommends them?
