Hi all,

Got in on Monday night near Plymouth. Good Vis and was like a mill pond. Fished the flood for a couple of hours from low tide. Took 4 pollack and a bass so not bad.

Anybody got an update on the vis around the South Hams/Plymouth way over the past couple of days? I wana try and get in Friday night and I'm trying to decide if its worth leaving work early!

I was helping with a survey on Wednesday at Ft Bovisand, and the viz was pretty good, at about 5-6m.
I drove past Whitsand Bay yesterday and the surf was pounding in, so viz might be compromised a bit on the South Hams coastline. If you tuck in behind Penlee Point or Rame it should be OK.

I havent been in much lately looking for that big flattie to enter in OMD FOY Flattie comp but did team up with a old mate today to dive the deeper marks i have found for plaice and turbot. I can almost sense a big turbot waiting there for me some where. Today wasnt the day though and i had to make do with a mixed bag of Plaice to 5lb8oz and 5lb6oz plus some Triggers Bass and a lobster.

Nice catch Nick, surprised you have not had more ackowledgement for that post. Triggers are cool looking fish. I had a couple Bass today in shock viz. I wore my new carbon fins and could not beleive how much lighter they were. I went the other day and forgot a sock so wrapped the budgie smugglers round my foot. it worked and I had a few fish :-)

Are more people using facebook to show their catches? I dont use it myself but have had a look through one of my sons accounts and there is a mass of pictures etc.

Come on lads some of the other areas are posting strongly. Big Scott where are you boy?

Gona have a go tomorrow I think even though it is bank holiday!!!!!

you are right Mark - shinny is an exceptional spearo who is on a mission that I support avidly!
Unfortunately lots of the regional threads are only read by the locale guys who don't log on every day!

You up Dawns crack tomorrow Shine O? I want to get a carbon Rob Allen 60 or 70 ASAP. No answer from the Dr. Can you look into that for me mate or give me a mobile number. I cant find any decent pics of what RA guns are available either so if anyone can help on that front I'd appreciatte it.

Understood Foxfish. At least everyone reacts when somebody asks advice etc even if they are not posting abot catches :-) I am spending next weekend in Dave Tomasson's company so I will be bending his ear for some top tips. I cant find the video on you tube of when he took Gordon Ramsey out the stone. I reckon he asked for it to be removed.

I'm sure you'll find your turbot before the year is out :)

If anyone deserves the flatfish trophy it's you with the effort you're putting in!
