I was in at Hope Cove and the vis was superb ,nothing taken to eat but seen more life than recently ,Spider Crabs are about but no big males . Car parking charges everywhere are pretty steep and seem to go up this time of year as well , especially Cornwall ,most spots I visit are anything from £ 3 to £7 - although a few spots are free but its nice to visit other places on occasions.
Guys, if you don't already know we are arranging a deeper blue meeting this summer in Guernsey.

There are still some good deals available but hotels, boat & plane fairs will all go up very soon!
Hotel rates & air fairs are particularly prone to monthly increases as the summer approaches!
Anyway we would love to see some more of you guys coming over, quite a few people have already booked to come over on the Thursday the 2nd of August leaving on the Monday the 6th but you are welcome for any duration even a day trip
We will offer plenty of diving opportunities including a specimen hunt spearfishing competition with the option for me to cook your catch for you.
However Guernsey has more to offer, if you want to bring friends or family there will be things to do that will keep them happy too - all are welcome

Hi m8. Asked me for £5 on Sunday, at the main gate. managed to blag my
way in, saying i had no money as i had my wet suit on.

There was an old boy who would charge people a quid to park in the overflow carpark at Paignton Zoo.. The guy didnt even work there, made a killing roflroflrofl

There was a guy who manned the carpark at Bristol Zoo for years and years. A debate broke out about developing the carpark and charging more to park. In the formalities it arose that both sides; the zoo and the local council each believed that the attendant collected money for the other. He had managed to play one off against the other, telling each that the other party was his employer for over 10 years. It was estimated that he earned over £20,000 per annum. When he was rumbled he simply disappeared and it took them 2 further years to track him down.
Good on him I say - entrepreneurial spirit.

Could be the way Tribs marks the fish as his. I usually put a cross in the head when out on a charter unless I take cable ties
Hi mate, that is my usual haunt. Not explored it on my new kayak yet (only swimming from the beach) so if you fancy a paddle/dive out one weekend it would be good to have some company.
There were loads of spiders around last time i was out, crab rissotto was awesome that evening
Hi Alastair, I'm only in Plymouth, so wouldn't mind a paddle around the island sometime.
On another note, I'm just finishing off a two week chest infection and antibiotics, so I'm itching to get in somewhere when the weather improves. The Latest viz reports from around Plymouth from the scuba boys don't sound good. 50cm by the breakwater and 1.5m at the Coronation wrecksite by Penlee Point.

Sounds good mate ill pm you my number. As it happens ive been in bed with a similar chest infection from a swim at Wembury, it basically ruined my 2 weeks easter hols :head There must have been a discharge into the water i guess?
I am only in Ivybridge and am quite flexible with location for a dive, ive got roof racks etc so we could save on the dreaded parking fees when the viz improves!

Yes it would be good to meet up for a paddle and dive sometime ,there are many promising spots along this coast with easy access from a kayak ,what kayak have you just got ,and is it your first ?
Hey guys, I'm new to spearfishing and I have all my own kit (wetsuit/kayak/gun etc). I was wondering if sometime when you next went around the Plymouth area or any of Devon, if I could tag along? If so that would be awesome and your experience would mean a lot.
