Just got back from sandy bay, bout 2m-3m viz. Still got lucky and came back with a large 3.7 pound spider and brown crab. Saw no fish apart from dogfish. The chap on the gate at sandy bay has been checking people going in has anyone ever been turned away?

Normally checking to see if he needs to relieve you of £5! If you tell them what you are doing then you should not have an issue. Normally they only want to stop car loads of the local youth enjoying the facilities and visiting females!!!

Good catch Matt, if you get the tapatalk app it works like a dream, it's free for the iPhone but you have to pay for the iPad version.
Was living In France on a pro team...got a bad knee injury took a season out to recover then re decided what I really wanted in life......to shoot big bass lol

On a serious note though, do you find the EPO helps your spearing?

Late report as I got home late last night. Went to 'The Jungle' last evening late as my boy fell asleep early and I cashed in some brownie points to get in. Bass seen and plenty of them within 50 yards of getting in. Nailed a nice 4 lb bass from the surface, completely stoned him. Next a 2lb fish that tasted great for dinner tonight. Only spotted one lone mullet all night. Fishing died when the tide turned.

Not been in much so far this season. Made up for it today with a boat dive in the hope of a gilthead. I did see one of about 5lbs but he kept his distance and lives to get bigger. I had a couple of mullet and bass before i found a nice size pollack half way down a drop off laying tight to the kelp in about 10m. He was a nice size so i seen him way before he was in firing range. A couple of gentle kicks and i slowly drop down to within range then bang,a killing shot down through the top of his head. He was 10lb13oz. I did see another a little while after but before i could pull the trigger he was gone.
