How do you tell?
The females have a much more flared tail, for holding the eggs!
Very easy to see the difference if you happen to have one of each to hand!
So has anyone bothered heading in? It looked like pea soup again today...
Had a quick look today vis is about 8-10 mm yes !!! MILLI -metres North coast (bude ) was pretty big blown out swell yesterday so very unlikely to find calm clear water there either for a few days !! There was an article in the paper the other day about the amount of rain washing so many nutrients into the sea this year that it is feeding and perpetuating a much longer plankton bloom than normal ,the situation in France is much worse with toxic algae leading to the death of a dog and a horse !!! This really is an unbelievably bad summer !!! Might just go exploring on kayak if it calms down on Sunday .

I was thinking exactly that, but it would be a long paddle to get out far enough to find some viz - Eddystone is a long way rofl
Really annoyed with this weather, i have 2 weeks off and not been in since last Friday. :head
Alright guys,
Was plannin on gettin a dive in after work tomorrow in budleigh or somewhere near there, any idea where me and my mate might find a little bit of viz? Don't mind driving that bit further it avoids the -1m viz I've been hearing about! Any pointers would be graciously received.
Cheers
