No way did I know some of you don't even dive. I can't imagine going out and not diving.

Very nice vis. Careful about loaded guns out of the water if they go off it might bounce back and leave a hole in something.

Think you misunderstood our posts we do dive on all dives ,the area I filmed in is v shallow for a long way out as you may know .its a little pointless diving in 3 to 5 foot of water!.the vid is 8mins of a 2 1/2 hour swim round .

That is a good snorkelling area and particularly good for putting your fins on. I haven't seen vis like that this year. Goddam UK summer

Still stalking!!! Smallest 39cm legal but a little small. Second 42cm. Taken earlier south lleyn. Vis 3-4m quite a bit colder now. Only two seen, loads of pollock and sprats about. Very enjoyable dive.

Denian I lasted about an hour and a half and had to get out. I dont think the water is much colder really. I'd been working outside all day so I think I felt it sooner.

Manalive I doubt its that good allover, its been rough, just went on a hunch to a locale sheltered spot. We could really do with codes for locations. just for the spots we have in common.

Anyone get in? I managed about an hour last night. vis 2-3M. took a big edible and one small bass. saw about 5 at about the 1.5lb mark. I wonder if these are the juvaniles that havent reached maturity yet? also saw loads of baby Bass hunting over a sandbank. nice to see the future monsters!!

Denian, nice video mate, only just seen it. great vis eh!

i know its probably different in different places, but imo i would dive even in that shallow water; grab a handful of weed and hang on. i think the fish come in for a look-see and also its more stealthy. I agree it can be fun in the shallows let the fish come to you...

I wasnt after your exact spots. ive read most of this thread. it gives away quite a bit about general locations. Even I have added to talk of spots. I just feel it would be wise to limit such info.

Anyway back to the really important stuff. wind has been dropping since the strong S winds early this week. today is an awesome day, suns out and not a cloud in sight. I might get in early tomorrow morning. Ill sit rep. vis should be improving over the weekend, lets hope theres some fish about.

I also think that being below or level with the fish makes them easier to spot, gives you a longer visibility range and the fish present themselves as a larger target.

No wind South side , seas calm with very slight swell. lats night swell got to chest high at hells mouth. South side had a few feet running through. best chance is North side I'd say.
