hey alex
can you explain how cocorev with a medium blade on a starfin go so well in a course of 100 meters.what special had this fin?

Hello Pavlito,
Yes, it`s was fantastique race & result !!! Not so many swimmers can do second half so fast like Dmitriy Kokorev.
They come to me few years ago in St.Petersburg and asked to give to him try something fin on 400sf. After 30min he swam 400sf race 3`04" , 3`10" was before. Come to me and told thank`s words :t On the Russian Championship one mons before Europe Championshp he did 35,69 on 100sf & 1,22,39 on 200sf. And now on the Europe Championship he did NEW WORLD RECORD 1,21,78 on 200sf ! :friday He did first 100m very slowly, if next time be faster - he do under 1,20,0 maybe We will wait new records from him !
He use ordinary fin with medium blade ! Last time i`m did few fins with same blade like Kokorev have for freediver from Finland Dino ! And he told me about like this blade

hello alex
i post this question because i know that the rule in 100 meters is hard or extra hard blade if you have very strong legs.
so i cant understand how this man can do 35 in 100 with a fin for 400
what are his characteristics?i suspect his is very fast with good technik and not so very strong.

It does not look as often ! He looks like Igor Soroka, who also swam in the second half as the first 100m. They both started with a long-distance and marathon - why have such a strong endurance without the huge muscles ! Its parameters about ~1.78cm & 80kg - i expect !

Yup, the fin is just fantastic! I'll write a review soon but as a small teaser I can say that the fin is very very fast. My 25m dive time became 5-7 sec faster with absolutely the same effort. I don't know what sort of voodoo Alex uses on his fins but it seems to work like charm!

my voodo it is our work experience since 1995 ! And very much fins tested !

hello,
We made a new bag for fins! It has two rear seat belt and full protection from all sides of the fin heat inside the bag in the sun! Capacity max. 3 hypers + one simple !

Nice! Looks like padding all around the edges. I love the Starfins bag I have - this one looks even better.

Talking about LOGO, new star is pretty cool but judging by performance and quality of the fin it should look more like this

So I customized mine for even cooler look

My fin has arrived with the new sexy bag ! I'll post some pics when I get back from work

Ok so no pictures, because I don't really have a proper camera. Besides there are lots of nice pictures of this beautiful fin in this thread already

I tried my starfin twice in the pool last week. The fit on my feet is really good, I have pretty wide feet and the footpockets accomodate this perfectly. There is a little pressure on the front of my big toe, but as I understand it this is a good thing because it allows for better power transfer. I can wear the fin comfortably for about 20 mins, might be longer when I get used to it more (this is my first monofin).

Other freedivers have tried the fin aswell and think it's rather stiff, I specifically asked for a depth fin and I guess this is why it's a little on the stiff side. Personally I don't mind, I don't have much problems with lactic acid.

One of the freedivers noted that it's definatelly the prettiest monofin in the Netherlands

Hi Bertrand,

Take the fin with you tonight please. I want to give it a try.

I am still loving my starfins. Now it has been to 30m - very nice performance for a soft blade - particularly since we've switched to our 5 mil winter suits. Absolutely no problems with durability.

The more fat suit we use, the harder it seems to us our fins. I'm already a month using a 9mm. (Water +7C)

9mm?!

Alex, we use 5mm in 1C water. You must have some SCUBA wetsuit, with open cell like Elios 5-6mm is all You need,
