Anyone managed a dive last couple of days? Hopefully heading in Tomorow to try another new spot which has been inaccessible until recently thanks to all the rod and reel guys... Watch this space!

Afraid I have been down cornwal and popped in for 2 hours with the wife. Came
Back with a 3lber and a 2 1/2 with a few pollock and a smaller bass that popped along right at the end if the dive. What's it been like in sussex?

South westerly s have picked up. Waves coming in and vis is rubbish. Eastbourne looked dive able but didn't get in. At seaford now and it's terrible.

Yer thought so, luckily Cornwall has a lot of protected bays unlucky us in sussex. I think there spoilt the Kernow boys, I'm loving it down here.

hello guys
Someone went into the water lately in bognor or west pier?
how were the conditions?
some catch?

Hi, I had some great diving near Chichester last weekend with great viz. we were on neaps so there was a lot of ground where I could just look at the sea floor from the surface with viz out to about 8m in places. I found a lobster which was a bit small and took a video of the biggest shore crab I've ever seen (dead). For some reason I wasn't feeling very accurate and missed a sitter of a bass of decent size. I ended up shooting a donkey mullet for supper. I wouldn't normally shoot them but it was huge and I couldn't resist.

I saw a programme a while back about Sardinia where they smoke mullet roe. When I opened this mullet some for came out so I thought I would cook it up. It is a bit like herring roe in long white strips and it was delicious. I think I've finally found the bit of a mullet I really enjoy! (The rest was good too but it's always a bit mullety). Still, it made a nice change from the bass.

I can't imagine the conditions are any worse this weekend I I would encourage you all to get in. There are plenty of fish about and I shouldn't worry about what it's like in Cornwall. On it's day.....it's better here!
