Part of today's catch from a bit shorter shoredive. Got a mackerel as well but gave it away on the way back home so never got a picture of it

Checked out a new spot today. A real mission requiring to climb cliffs and boulder and a steep trek trough the jungle. The dive itself was awesome with really good vis. However the exit and getting back up again was real exhausting

Did a very quick dive today, just wanted to see how a flasher i've made looked in the water and if it needed any improvements.

Two cuda's came in to take a close look, they were so focused on the flasher that it felt like i could have poked them with the spear instead of shooting them hehe

Hi guys, sorry - I've been too busy to be on here much recently. Been doing all my diving at night too when the kid have gone down. Lobsters and groupers galore - I'll see if I can get a few of those pics off my phone. Had a good dive on Friday. Swam from the shore to a large isolated bay about 3km away. Shot some rainbow yellow-tail and amber jack. This big one showed up just as I was thinking of beginning the swim back. Saw two large tuna too but didn't have my flashers with me and couldn't get close to them. Great trip.

A friend met me with his jet-ski on the way back and took me the last 1km which I was grateful for. My speargun and go-pro went over the side somewhere and despite hunting for it no luck :-( totally gutted. Still, spear fishing season is closing in a few day and so I'll have three months to save up for another one...

I feel for you! I got my very first carbons about 3 weeks ago, i got to use them 5 times then some week ago i was on my way out with the kayak. Hadnt put the fins on yet and had them under my legs, stopped out in the ocean to get prepared to go in and a big swell came and hit the side off the kayak and tipped me over. My instinct was to flip the kayak back up and then i realised i didnt have the the fins on me. Searched but couldnt find them, 350 dollars in the drain lol!

I dont know the name of these groupers but i would say they are the most common ones here. I googled pics on the name you mentioned and i think i see those sometimes, but they are always small and have never seen on over a half kg
