Sorry Podge...you were just an easy target after the third pint.

Salam Bro,
nice catch you got, where were you in Ajman? Went from the shore?
Anyway, what about going together next week end or something?
I went on Thursday, thought it would be quiet in Umm al Quwain, and we had Cormorand (sea ravens) all the time diving and trying to catch fish as well! They were disturbing the fish, and they are not afraid of humans, you have sometimes to "spear" them with the spear of the gun to have your peace!
See you next time under the water

Salam brother,

This Cormorant story sounds funny hehehe usually in the sea i afraid Sharks attack or dangerous fish not expecting something from the sky :D

It is in Ajman Al Zorah (You have to go right after the Enoc pump which is after hamriya free zone in the direction of Ajman Sharja Then there you wil see two towers for power plant take the left just before them then go straight till you get one small portal cabin take left from there you will get round about take it right then first turn left and traight to the end you will find the shore there is wave breaker you have to swim to the end and before 10 meters look at your right side you will find white buoy there the wreck) been yesterday also but no luck was very low visibility my buddy told me that he saw big fish as well but could not get it. That area no much fish on that wreck also it is small wreck with shallow water on the wave breaker end you can find baracudas. It is not best spot i dive from shore but was lucky enough to catch that fish.Next week we will arrange for boat dive most probably in DUBAI.

Take care brother see you underwater!!!

After long time i could manage to spearfish with Anton... Thnx Anton for joining me in this trip...

Water was around 24 C depth maximum 6 meters reef area located in Um Al Quain viz was good 6 meters wind was 4 knots from eat to west tide was low. We saw some small fish but finally we were lucky to get this fish.

I have question came to my mind do i have to mind the teeth of the king fish ? i saw it is sharp but i do not know if it is as strong as baracuda?

Wouldn’t have a clue about the teeth mate but I bet they taste good.:):)
Well done to the both of you.

Hey Saleh,
Yeah watch out for the teeth, King can leave a nasty bite, the teeth are not as long as a barracuda but just as sharp. King has small very sharp teeth all the way round so leaves a very jagged untidy cut.
But they generally dont get agressive like a barracuda so as long as you keep them fingers out the way you should be ok.
Drop me your e-mail address, I got some pics for you!!!
Cheers,
D.

DHB thnx brother pm dropped with my email address...

Do u recommend any place in DUBAI blue water with shallow areas where we can catch big fish!!!

All best...

Yes watch out for the teeth! You could lose a finger. Several boat fishermen-er-people over the years (in the Gulf of Mexico) have been injured severely by Kings leaping out of the water during feeding frenzy and landing in the boat--snapping the whole way down and in. Lots of stitches. Never heard of anyone getting struck in the water or at uw shiney stuff like 'cudas are known to do.:martial

Saleh, Anton,

Congratulations for this catch!
King fish are delicious on the bbq just with salt and pepper but not too much cooked!
