UK government proposes ban on online dive knife sales?

No but there is a higher percentage of people that once they think about murdering some one they naturally think knives,guns and that is why there is more knife crime than brick crime so its about limiting a certain type of crime and reducing crime that is escalating. Say 2% get killed by bricks, 14% get killed by knives then the government are naturally going to look at what to do to decrease the type of crime that has the highest percentage. On top of that there were petitions in many shops etc around the time that the above murder took place that the UK public signed which were then put to the government to do something about knife crime and what they are doing now is a result of that.

I personally do not agree with what the government are doing and that by the act of a few should reflect on personality's of every other individual in the UK as it is like we are all getting treated like we have murderous intention.

The UK has a history of banning stuff with knee jerk reactions after incidents happen, the handgun ban, dangerous dogs act, the banning of certain oriental weapons. In my opinion all this banning stuff just effects those who are going about their hobbies with nothing but harmless intentions. Those up to no good will still get hold of the banned items and do bad with them if that is their intention, its always the mass that suffers because of the actions of the very few, which realistically that's exactly what it is, the very few. If you believed everything in the press you would think that every other person is stabbing their neighbour. In my opinion its all smoke and mirrors, rather than deal with the real causes of gang culture and an allegedly increasingly violent society, the government would rather just ban a few things to keep the ill informed happy............. well its easier isn't it, it wont solve a damn thing and they know it but it makes them look good and who can ask more than that...................
