No but there is a higher percentage of people that once they think about murdering some one they naturally think knives,guns and that is why there is more knife crime than brick crime so its about limiting a certain type of crime and reducing crime that is escalating. Say 2% get killed by bricks, 14% get killed by knives then the government are naturally going to look at what to do to decrease the type of crime that has the highest percentage. On top of that there were petitions in many shops etc around the time that the above murder took place that the UK public signed which were then put to the government to do something about knife crime and what they are doing now is a result of that.
I personally do not agree with what the government are doing and that by the act of a few should reflect on personality's of every other individual in the UK as it is like we are all getting treated like we have murderous intention.
