well here's a progress update
i have applied for a patent - thanks to those of you who told me i should! i got there in the end...

I have just finished the moulds and made the first 'production' moulding - which i tested this afternoon and i'm pleased to say it works really really well unfortunately the vis was bad so nothing worth editing up. However the test run was good as it floated and followed just as intended.

I will be making the first batch of production floats soon [just waiting for some white adhesive to come in to our local supplier].

I hope to put up some pictures of the final part but just need to wait for the patent people to come back to me first...
