Yes, Cesar & I got in for about 1830 & spent about 2 hours in.

Was on rising tide. There seems to be plenty of fish around. I missed a sitter of a big mullet & I saw some large bass, but couldn't bring my gun round due to the weed, plus I was on the last of my breath.

Loads of small pollack & I think schooling small Bass, well I think they were.

Some good vis, but still a bit cloudy in places. All in all looked promising. Cesar left with a couple of Bass & I left with nothing.

I'd love to get involved in some club dives. Do you guys ever dive anywhere West of Portland? I have two daughters under the age of 2, so driving all the way down to Swanage area is too much for a Tuesday evening after putting them to bed at 7.
If not, I'll see what I can do about a Tuesday evening in half term (week after next) as I'm a school teacher so will be at home all the day during that week.

Keep an eye out on this thread.

We have dived Newtons Cove the past 2 weeks(Weymouth area), so not done Swanage yet. Newtons was fairly well protected.

You really want to be getting in at about 5.30 - 6.30pm about now, as that will leave you with about 2 1/2 hours dive time. I suppose any time in the water is good, but it's all about having enough time in.
I have a young boy of 18 months & 1 day out of the week isn't too much too ask/tell the missus. On the Tuesday club dive I grab the trousers, before she puts them on. ;o), although a bit of a wrestle come the weekends...........

May see you out sometime.

I'd love to get in down at Newtons Cove - is it sheltered on a Westerly? It looks like we've got a weekend of pretty strong southerlies coming in so no diving down my way.

Yes, we have had westerlies last 2 weeks, well on the Tuesday dives.

Tuesday gone was a mill pond, as close as one gets at least.

Hi guys
I am looking forward to give it a go on tuesday evening ,anybody up to it??,it looks like on tuesday wind will drop a bit ,I suppose viz will be quite bad but I cannot wait to get in the water again,any reports?

hi guys . been reading about your club dives . is that open to newbe's? im a local lad just starting my 2nd season. i get in pretty much every tues and newtons is a spot i regularly use. it would be good to meet some guys to fish along side but also get some tips. i hear alot of catches around this area as i work at othree but i work upstairs so would b nice to put faces to names. if u do go in othree you all prob know josh. he is my dive buddy and will be joining me if its cool with u guys to tag along.

You are more than welcome to join us - Tuesday is the norm & Newtons is a popular choice - every one can make suggestions dependent on weather & viz reports. I think most of us have met Josh & he is obviously welcome too.

Count me in, I'll be there or wherever we go.

Looks like there are some high winds comin in on the Monday(south westerlies), just depends how badly it affects us. Newtons will probably be the only protected area, but probably still churned up a bit.

hi guys sorry for the no show tonight. got roped in to family dutys. will be in on the next sesh for sure. upside got some good brownie points to cash in! more time in water i think. hope u guys had a lucky dive.
