If this "cuckoo's spit" is found only on or around plants near your bedroom, bathroom, or workout room windows, I would highly encourage a guard dog or motion detecting exterior lighting.

Adolphin, You have a namesake on the Ausie boards -The dolphins is a spearing club down here I thought you were him untill I saw the Abu Dhabi bit.
We get the superb Lyrebirds near my home and when I was trying to catch bass up in a river just over the mountain one had a go at a lure - small plastic cricket -that i was casting for bass when I overshot and it was hanging from a bush next to the river -I thought i was going to have roast Lyre bird for dinner but he didn't hook up only hit it and dropped it.
