What do you do...

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
originally, a mechanical engineer, currently a credit manager, for africa middle east for a big petroleum multinational

I'm a new grad in the area of Computer Networks.

I am learning an ebay business right now to see how much $$$ and effort are all involved :).

Pretty soon I will have a choice to do either:

A) Build up an ebay business to support myself.

B) Might start an apprenticeship in Plumbing.

C) Head off and actually find a job in the Computer Networking / Security field.

:) If I go with either A or B I would want to be living in some place exotic. Like the Carribean.

I'm a 7-12 Physics and chemistry teacher, tutor for math, physics, chemistry and geology and on vacations i work with my father on his construction company (anything from the buldozers to the small finishing stuff)...
Hey jimdoe2you what's the software needed to do those. I want to make my house plans and i already have them in 2d cad but i'd like to learn to do that in 3d (Autocad 3d ??). I can see you getting some e-mails from me...

I'm a Naval Architect working for for an aluminium fast ferry company in Perth, Australia. We are currently working on the next fleet of US naval vessels. They are cool ships; high speed, and very large for ali ships, but it is not without some internal conflict that I work on a killing machine.

Unfortunately, sometimes killing is necessary. I mean, suppose I had a time machine in my basement. I take you down there, hand you a silenced .22 pistol and set the controls for Germany in 1929 and location for right next to a certain bed at 2:00 a.m. Now you have the choice. Kill one and be done with it or let the target live and be responsible for about 15,000,000 other deaths. Hmmmm?

I sell Nuts and Bolts, Hippie

I manage a Industrial Fastener company, we sell to nuts, bolts, washers all industrail consumables ( hand cleaners, drill bits ect ) and evey conceivable item that could go along with them.
Its the old mans company, so i work for the family, but one day it will all be mine ( rubbing his hands together )

Its as booring as bat ***** but it keeps me of the street and I get paid fairly well, so i can buy lots of toys for killing fish.

Crusty

Reading over this cool thread I see no pathern so far - we make our buck from jobs as divers as fish in the ocean!

I run my own (small) telecoms business, mobile/cellular phones. Wish I could move it closer to the sea......

I'm a graphic designer, sometimes I design furniture and jewellery too.

you can see the stuff I do on guykeulemans.com

Like many who have posted here, my work is not related much to my spearfishing obsession....

On the other hand I recently designed the logo for the St George Spearfishing & Freediving Club in Sydney, which was fun:

i love Kyoko's jewellery :inlove

I'm a Stay-at-Home Dad- who does the odd slavage job or scuba class. :D

In, what now seems like, a passed life I was a grade school teacher during the school year and a scuba instructor during the summer time.

One of these days I'll have to find a paying job again, but with the budget cuts going on it doesn't look like it will be in teaching.

Jon

I work in the financial services industry - family business which definately has its plus sides :D

i do just about anything, from furniture painting to commercial fishing, guess you could call me a jack of all trades :)

so far its payed me decent, but im trying to find something im interested in, which will also allow me to study naval architecture, which will eventually allow me to settle down and design boats, and hopefully still be making decent $ :)

Fun thread indeed!
I work for an Italian news agency as a translator, journalist and sometimes even editor. I guess I and Spaghetti are in the same trade ;)
The good thing about this job is that I have enough time to go spearfishing every morning before work. Luckily my Italian colleagues are not that keen on waking up early so the work for me starts at noon ;)

Hey, I almost forgot... My previous job was a truck driver in the U.S. :)

I am working as Animation Layout Director.
At now, I am working busily for a living.
However, through my drawing, I am trying to describe and create the world under the see. :)
I want to find my dream by my picture and I am just satisfied at giving pleasures to everyone.
