WSB sighting form

Are white sea bass populations in danger? I hope not. They are my favorite fish to eat...not to mention ecological impact. I had dreams of hunting them one day, as I have just started spearing up here in Alberta.

There's a successful breeding program going on down here in San Diego:

This season I've been seeing lots of wsb of all sizes around, some 12", probably just having been released. It's very exiting, I never even saw wsb ten years ago when I was here before.

I just wish they have the same program up here north. Maybe one of these days we would be hunting in the kelp rather than cursing the kelp.:p

There are pens they release them from in Carlsbad, I think. There are a couple more in Catalina Harbor. There's probably more around too. :p We can just wait for them to grow up.
