25 meters DNF in 1 armstroke cycle

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
The first time that I saw somebody doing that without a wetsuit, trisuit or competition swimming suit, just with own skin and normal little speedos. Altough there is a little left leg movements during glides, I think he could do it without those movements aswell:

And the time, about 36 s/25m is not bad either!

I have done it with Orca RS1, but it's a different thing to do it with just like that. Roope (Robert Knapp) is a DNF- and swimming specialist.

BTW he lives now in Brussels cause his wife is in a new EU MEP (a member of Parliament). Hopefully there is not coming an EU-directive for freediving. But if it is, then Robert is our lobby man ;)

I've stumbled across this thread and thought that my video could be nice addition (although I've posted it elsewhere on this forum ;-)).

Deep South Freedivers are now able to sell Orca suits. PM me if you're interested. They tend to be a bit cheaper purchased directly out of NZ.

I love my Alpha. :) Apex2 is no longer available in mens unless you're tiny or very large but was a good flexible suit for training and the arm and leg panels really aren't a big issue. Don't forget the new Free. Orca. I haven't had any buoyancy change issues throughout the stroke with Orca suits, but definitely with Elios, etc.

hey!!! you cheated!!!!
i can clearly see @1:28-1:29 you gave a small seriers of "fingerstrokes" with your left handrofl:):):t:t
no "1 armstroke", here...

When I try to do a minimum count of strokes my biggest problem is that my legs start to sing towards the bottom and how do you prevent this? Can you make something that makes your legs more bouyant?

haha, quite true. I also wiggled my toes in the leg only, so that one doesn't count either.

Aqua Sphere Aqua Skin, and you're right, it's the suit the French national team wears.

Is it an insult or a compliment?

Depends: Nery or Sarkozy.

By keeping your core muscles tight, being properly weighed and balanced. Or by wearing 2 or 3 mm pants. What also helps to maintain the position (and with streamlining) is to really really point your toes back hard -i got cramps in my feet halfway through.

Yes, that's the Tongelreep 50x25x3m pool in Eindhoven now also called the 'Pieter van de Hoogeband' swimstadium.
