Aeris F.11. Info Leak :)

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 90 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I watched the YouTube review- is the issue of stepping back been fixed?
When you return to the surface it does not display you time and depth? So you need to press a button and again to return to the main screen?
I foresee me dropping my gun if I have to press buttons.

Just to be clear - it's the f.11 that does that. I think this is fixed in the next firmware revision - I'll post something when I get it.

I just spoke to aires and they said it can be set into auto mode in settings???? Can someone clarify this?
I do not see this option on my f.11. I think, perhaps, a communication problem. I am working directly with the VP of AUP (American Underwater Products - which Aeris is part of). FYI - the f.10v2 does what you want right now and I have thousands of dives on one. I am currently testing the f.10v3 which, based on what I am seeing, should hit the market fairly soon. It has a different processor and a is more like the f.11 in accessing logs and settings.

Ok thanks.
Strange Aries customer service was certain that you could place it in an automatic mode so it so that it would always display last dive without a button press

Okay, here's what I've got on the f.11 firmware:
F.11 firmware will be released any day... notes follow... and yes, we've added depth and time to the between dive surface display.

• Revised the Set Time group items to allow Alternate (away) Time or Main (home) Time to be selected as the Watch Default Time.
• The Default Time selected in Watch Mode is displayed as Time of Day on Free Mode screens and is applied to Log Mode entries.
• Moved Show Dual Time to the Set group as a Yes/No setting.
• Max Depth is now displayed on the post dive Surface screen during the BDSI (Between Dive Surface Interval) set.

Full specifications not available yet, but this watch might also be interesting for freedivers (expected release: June 2014):

Okay, I've flashed my f.11 to the new firmware -Revision 1B. Here's how to do it.
First you need the newest version of the Aeris Computer Interface software. It's version 2.3.4
under 'ACI Downloads' on this page.

Once you've got that just go into the 'Dive Computer' section (little icon - upper left) and you'll see a
Firmware Auto Updates button along the top. Click that and follow the Instructions.

Also - on the Subject of the Interface Cable - Turns out these are not just cables. They contain some proprietary electronics
and thats why they are so expensive.

Chris, I've tried updating mine, and I don't know if it's a cable issue or a software issue, but it looks like plugged in, the software isn't recognizing my computer, and it's not giving me the option to upload the new firmware. Thoughts?

Do you have the latest version as above? Have you used the watch with the pc interface before? If the answer to the second one is no - Do you have the USB drivers from aeros?
If you have the latest version and it'w worked for other stuff I'd call Aeris support. But I also wouldn't bother with this firmware. It doesn't seem to have changed much of anything.
