AIDA Team World Championship 2012

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Hard to belive that the bigest event has started and this thread has been dead for two weeks...or am I missing something? Will there be some reporting available or do we wait for wikileaks?

Unfortunately the live stream does not work. It looks like it is intended for the pool disciplines only. The site will publish only the results at the end of the day. AIDA promissed reporting on their facebook page, but so far there is very little info about performances. I just know that the highest announce today was 102m of Michal Risian (Czech) at 8:15 this morning, and he got a white card. Surprisingly he surfaced on the same line as he dove, this time (I think it was because there was only one).

If you wonder who is actually leading in Nice and what are the possible outcomes if everyoned dives according to his/her announced performance, unfortunately you won't find such information on the championship website. Hence, I decided compiling the available data and have put the results and estimates for you online here: APNEA.cz - Blog

Great work, Trux! Thanks :) Elisabeth Hummel starts for the mens team. As far as I know she was a last minute addition…

For those with a Facebook account, there is some live reporting on the page of AIDA France. Better told should be. For the moment I do not see much happening there.

Allegedly they are also trying to fix the live stream, so let's hope they'll manage it

OK, the updated ranking anf final estimates are now online at APNEA.cz - Blog

Today, unlike yesterday, I added also estimates for STA and DYN, using PBs of all athletes to guess the final ranking. So we can better see the overall favorites.

The predictions after the fourth day of Constant Weight are now online: APNEA.cz - Blog

The official results on the website of the organizer are actually incorrect. There are two basic problems: first the girls who start in the mixed teams, are not listed in the men's results together with their team, but together with the other girls, skewing so the total scores on both sides. The other problem is, that there are four athletes missing in the official results (Liv Philip, Alejandra Lopez, Sergiu Serban, and Pavlos Kourtelas) with no explanation whether they were DNS, or whether they will be granted a start on another day. In the time being, before we get the information, I kept them as DNS, it means without any points.

I just wished the logo of the WC did not hide the half of the screen, and that there was some information about the competition instead. And some commentary.

All in all, the reporting from the WC is very disappointing. I think it is time that AIDA sets some minimal requirements for the reporting or establishes a commision that will take care about the reporting from championships properly. Year after year, the situation repeats, and getting to the information is very cumbersome.

There are updated results from the AIDA WC in Nice with CORRECT results (unlike on the official website, where all nations with a mixed team are assinged wrong amounts of points), and with preditcions for final ranking using PB's for the DYN to estimate the possible final outcome. APNEA.cz - Blog

Individual ranking from the WC, will be updated with the STA results in about an hour at: APNEA.cz ranking - 8th AIDA Team World Championship 2012

Your hitting home! Amon!

Competition ended two hours ago. Still any results anywhere available?

The overall results are available in a condensed form also at APNEA.cz - Blog

Besides the official ranking, there are also some statistics. Since during the WC, I posted estimates for the final outcome, based on Personal Bests of all athlees from previous competitions, there are now charts showing how the teams improved or failed in comparison to their estimated capacities.

EIDT: In the stats you can notice some interesting facts - for example at males, there are practically only three teams that scored better than were their estimated best results - Croatia, Czech Republic, and Slovenia (I do not count Algeria, since there was just a single performance and no previous PB available). Funny enough, all the three who improved, are Slavic nations. There must be something in their genes :)

Individual ranking from the WC will be available in about an hour at APNEA.cz ranking - 8th AIDA Team World Championship 2012
