airguns: Sporasub One Air 2012!!!

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I predict that the side chambers will leak water and may eventually be foam filled. It is difficult to seal off unusual shapes with end seals, plus you get slight relative movement of gun components with stresses changing during operation of a gun. Leaks may be slow, but saltwater will nibble away at the interior of the outer chambers. Only fix is foam fill or slightly pressurize them to provide air bubble tell-tales if they leak.

Instead of side chambers I would put similar shape wood parts on my Cyrano. That would be better and easier to make. If I only could make similar simple substitution with the handle and the trigger...

I agree it would be relatively easy to add dry barrel kit & cuttle bone sides but its the trigger alignment that we all want!

Got my new mares pneumatic and have missed a couple of easy shots cos instead of having a spear to look along, I've got this big fat round tube and find it difficult to sight the shot precisely. There's a couple of tiny sights on top of the barrel which I suppose I should use. Have thought of painting them a bright colour to make them easier to use.
How do other people get on with pneumatics and accuracy?

Bros, have you tried the search button for laser sights? If any of the threads still remain (most were deleted) you will find the subject emotive to say the least!

Here are my thoughts on this aspect: http://forums.deeperblue.com/pneuma...-pneumatic-spearguns-accuracy.html#post884606

Further delays to the One Air... Sporasub are now not providing any fixed release date for the gun :hungover

Seriously, they couldn't make a better job of f**king up a product release if they tried.

The distributors have advised me to check back at the end of July / start of August for an update, that sounds like September at the absolute earliest then, although I feel that that would be very, very optimistic.

Fail.

That sucks

I must say I am disappointed in the delays, however, all good things come to those who wait? I'm just going to pickup a One banded so I don't get used to a, hypothetically, inferior Air speargun.

I called Technosport and have gotten basically the same info you guys have. Bros, I feel for you. Really I do. Selling your other spearguns in anticipation, all to be let down... Man thats a huge hit to the ego and pocket.

I only joined today after ghosting this thread for ~8months just to express my disappointment in the delay.

I'm headed to FL in a week and had been anticipating picking "ONE AIR" up before my week long trip all to be disappointed AGAIN. Say la vi, Hopefully they can get the final product to market with no additional delays and iron out any additional issues with the design if there is any.

Thanks for the love man! :D

C'est la vie indeed - better a perfect product than a rushed product - it's what I tell my clients all the time ;)

My main beef is, as you mentioned, selling up my other guns - whoops..! The delays mean that I'm kind of left hanging - I needs guns but don't want to shell out for ones I don't really want to buy. I am very, very lucky to have good friends though, DafyddRees has lent me a lovely RA Carbon - what an amazing man :inlove

I'll wait until the end of July and get back in touch with the suppliers - if there is still no joy I'm going to have to bit the bullet and get something else.

There was talk early this year of a new Mares, dry-barrel pneumatic but I've heard no news or rumours since. Anyone heard any thing?

Pfffft - I was really hoping my partner could pick one up on her Euro trip. She's over there now, but no gun. Uuhm may have to resort to a Caranx?

K

Ummmmm.... some odd news indeed!

Just had an email from the lovely guys at Apnea.co.uk - my 80cm One Air is being shipped to me next week!

LOL :D

I know the pre-order waiting list was about 200 people - by the sounds of things, the gun I'm getting was literally the last one they had available.

I have to say though, I'm half expecting an Airbalete to arrive with a One Air sticker on it rofl

Could be a case of the squeaky wheel gets the oil! Omer must get some feedback from these forums and they have decided to send you a gun before the "news" for them gets any worse.

From what I can gather, Omersub appear to have had a very limited number of One Airs made, all of which have been sold.

Why stock is so limited, I have no idea. Lets just hope that the first batch are not all prototypes / pre-production models..!

One thing I find really odd that all of the official Sporasub images, press releases and even the Sporasub website are still displaying images of the One Air proto-type guns with the external STC head - why? I also find it mildly worrying that a company can issue a release saying they have no idea when the gun is going to be released then one week later, ship a very limited number of products.

There has been no word on the new Sporasub SK40 which I also wanted to buy, the new one piece carbon band gun... no-one knows anything about it.

I should get my One Air, hopefully, at the end on next week - although for some reason I'm not feeling 100% confident that it will actually arrive... strange that. I have no idea what it will look like - whether it will have the internal or external head, whether it will have the white branding or the green branding - not a clue. It'll be a surprise :D

I'll get some photo's and a video up if / when I receive it which should be in around a weeks time.

You would never guess what...!!?!? The shipment is delayed.

How mind-blowingly unsurprising.
