Cheers for the updates Denian,

I got in yesterday afternoon on the north coast. Never dived this coast before and will definitely try and go back there again soon. Was worried the south westerly swell might have screwed the vis up but found a very nice sheltered spot and was met with good but milky vis. After about 30 mins it turned in to one of thoses dives that you just don't feel too comfortable in the water and I was struggling to relax. I always had the feeling something was around me but had no idea what. As such my bottom times were not much over 1 min. Saw lots of small bass and pollock during this first half hour or so but nothing of size. Then came the shock of my life. I have been scared by seals before just appearing while diving but this time a large dark shadow whizzed passed me while breathing up...after a few bubbles from both ends and a quick check to make sure I hadn't crapped myself I caught sight of it again....a fin!! It was cruising out of the water about 30meters away, bugger this so I headed for a nearby rock...turns out it was ''only'' a dolphin! Anyway spent the next hour or so not seeing anymore fish - not surprising as the dolphin didn't leave the area either and so I hope he went home without his dinner too by me scaring off the fish for him as he had for me!

As I got out a couple of locals on the beach had a little laugh at me about my sharp exit from the water and said the dolphin has been there for a few weeks now and the fishing has dropped off unsurprisingly!

Anyway great new spot that clearly holds fish (when dolphins are not present) that I will be visiting again!

in falmouth maritime museum .as its still crap n windy foggy n rain.now the mullet in the basement are teaseing me.!?......

Nice little dive. Found huge schools of bass up to 5lb...my first shot at a good 5/6lber luckily went low as I lost the famous tuna spear:head as I forgot to crimp the spear end of a new shooting line:head. Had to use my hole gun to get one braver but smaller bass, but the hole gun just did not have the range for the bigger boys at the rear of the massive school so I just enjoyed the sight.
Saw some triggers nipping in and out of very tight crevices and holes and after several dives of cat and mouse and squeezing into tight places I took a good one.
I spent rest of dive looking for the spear never to be seen again!
Great vis and the most bass I've ever seen schooled up bar one dive I had in the distant past on an amazing offshore mark. Also huge schools of scad which was a great sight! Pleased with the trigger as they are wily buggers!

Nice catch and great shots, an I ask what will you do with the trigger? Obviously you can eat bass but I'm not aware of any useful purpose for the trigger?
Cheers
Ben

Have you never heard it called chicken of the sea? The Grey Trigger is a very nice fish to eat.

Here's a quick video from the weekend. Like I said no fish were harmed due to the blooming dolphin that kept pestering me...sadly didn't get him on video though!!

Hope you enjoy

Nice vid. Do you find the farts help attract the fish?:D

Ha cheers scallywag. Its a skill learnt from Shiny1 that I have taken to the next stage. He like to 'grunt' his bass in to him....I just 'grunt' from a different orifice!
