Hi Matt, do you have any guernsey spearos on the course?
may i ask where you will go - really hard to find much depth out of the tide here.. if you want any suggestions then please do ask.

Hey Jonny, yes I have a few spearos on the course. I'm currently researching areas to do the sessions but only need 6m to 10m if you have any suggestion that would be great. Looking forward to the comp as well should be good fun!

All the best

Matt

Crab wells will give a good depth if needed, from 6m to 30m with no current.

Meant to say to you today , Jonny. Park at the white square and go to the NE corner of the car park. Follow the narrow sand gulley to the waters edge within a few hours of high tide. Swim out over 1.6 then to the mouth of the bay. The dotted line is about 30m at high tide, the deepest accessible shore dive that I know of.

Thanks Andy,
Little Sarge and I have been checking out the gravel banks around there:

Here's a video, this is just a few hundred metres out from the wells, although we got in on the other side of the rocks:

I have acquired several planks of seasoned teak (not for free unfortunately).
So now I just need the enthusiasm to turn them into a spear gun!
I have a few ideas for something radicle but just wondered if there was any particular design that you guys might fancy "if I decide to raffle off a gun"?

A Star Wars themed Gun with the "force "one that will find Bass on its own!

Maybe be unorthodox and probably a little strange but I am keen for a two handled gun, single spear, that can be fired from the mid and rear handle. Was just asking Popgun Pete about potential modifications to a pneumatic, but nowhere near as classy as teak!
