Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
So I will soon be needing to book up our social evenings.
I think Saturday night in town went down well last year but we need a to think about the Friday night....
PS - interestingly - one of our previous venues "The Piette" is now a very popular and good restaurant !

I would like some input about how much you guys are willing to pay for our social nights on the Friday & Saturday?
I want to book up the venues this week if possible...

I think the "The Boathouse" was a good evening last year & we could go there again this year?

For the Friday, we have a few ideas but so far the options have asked for a budget per head before they can offer a menu.

Herm could be an option but I would love your thoughts before any decisions are made.

Sunday will be as usual... at my place eating our catch.

Stephan, if you could show a list of participants that would be great

The boathouse was good, wayside was ok but food maybe not so good? Also there seemed to be a hell of a lot of drunken jersey lads there for some reason??
Herm is also a good option but tricky if there are little uns going (Lana /Denian etc. )
I'm not too fussed about cost either within reason.

I will try to get the Boat house for Sat night & I am going to have a go at negotiating the Rockmount for the Friday but it has gone up market since our last visit there!
With starters being almost as much as our normal budget, I don't hold up much hope but fingers crossed!
Fantastic venue and food though...... http://www.therocky.gg/

I agree with Grant about the Wayside. The food was so-so. Rockmont looks good, and the prices arent too bad really, pretty much what I'd pay in a restaurant in Pymouth. Might they do a group discount?

I hope to get a good deal on 30 people but I am not sure what is going on with the upstairs restreraunt, it opened just after Christmas with a top chef and £30 main course prices but nobody went there so it has been revised but I am not sure if that web page is unto date?

The Boat house is booked for Sat night & the La Reunion booked for Friday .... menus to follow based on £25 per head

I can try to get the Petit Bistro (our premier restaurant) for the Thursday early bird menu (£13.50) if anyone fancy's that but to avoid the normal "al a carte" prices we would have to be in by 6pm and out by 8pm. Please let me know if you might be interested?
