Thankyou for the very kind offer Mirror, that would be brilliant.
Because of the unpredictable nature of British weather, and as we have divers in both locations, a check can be made of local conditions prior to confirming.

Cammanche- I'm not sure of the launching facilities near Meadfoot, Scottwilson is the man to ask for that area. I do know it's not free launching on the local slipways.

Yeah go Meadfoot,Plymouth is a barren fishless dive spot with zero vis!!

Hi all,

Im up for either day and either location - further to Mirrors offer of a trophy for a catch of the day, we will rustle something up as a gift for the winner as well,

May try and blag some toys to bring down for peeps to play with if anyone is interested?

cheers,

anthony

Sounds good so far, be nice to come and put some faces to names and such.
I can't say that ive been to either of the venues before though, so my votes a little useless. What are the pros and cons of each? lol

I will be up for that, either location would be great. But if Plymouth means shiny brings his boat that might swing it for me. It looks like I am moving back up north this year so I don't know if I will definitely be around, but I hope so.

Hi,

I dive both spots pretty regularly and I think it's a difficult call.

Launching is quite tricky at mead foot although you can drop in at Torquay marina about a mile and a half away. You can haul in a kayak from the beach but for rib's etc it's a case of either the marina to the west or probably Teignmouth to the east.

I think we are more likely to get reliable viz at Mountbatten because the breakwater gives quite a lot of shelter and out beyond it can be amazing on the right day. It's quite a long paddle from the centre though! Maybe people with kayaks would be better dropping in at beesands

anyway,

I'm up for it and am looking forward to meeting you all.

The weather will be stunning and the bass will be everywhere!

Regards,

Ed.

Chris, good call. I was all excited about this...

...until I checked the calender....

We'll be at a wedding so it'll be a no go. Have a great time, May will be with us in a flash.

Best regards

Ben

Evening all if this is a recognised event by the Harbour Authority and it now is because I work for them, a safety boat would be abe to launch from Torquay harbour for free. If you do decide on Meadfoot let me know in advance and I`ll sort the launching and trailer storage for the day out. One maybe two boats shouldnt be a problem. with a bit of luck I`ll haggle a day off and drop in myself.

Monaco is cancelled for me. Issues with the caravan and site.

So count me in unless a miracle happens :)

That's excellent !!!

Thanks Coastie, that's great news. It's only three months until the meet, so still time to get the votes in. It's encouraging to see so many people interested in the meet.
