Dorset Spearfishing 2013

Yeah Couldn't agree more great to get in and strecth the legs with good company just a shame at the lack of fish.:head

Thanks for the help with setting up my new pump gun and all the safety tips, well apreciated:):):)

Went in with Nobby earlier mostly to try out the new gear but also in the hope of a big pollack or bass lurking around. Unfortunately no fish seen at all, not even wrasse or bait fish. The Vis started around 3-4m in close but got milky further out. And then started dropping off in close aswel. Water was still a lovely 11°C tho so a pleasant dive all the same.

Cheers for uploading the pic matt . Yeah same as matt said. It was good to get in and try out new gear tho.i cant recomend it enough. My suit was toasty comfortable and real supple. And as for the carbon 155 gun i am holding. WOT A DREAM!!!! Real light super handle that is nice and small like my ra guns line relise on side works a treat but can b changed to suit the divers needs . This gun truley is amazing! Very easy to move in the water that much so it was like using a 70 carbon. Honestly guys if you r thinking of getting a carbon gun this is the puppy it really has been well thought out with a very sexy finish. Cheers guys for bringing this brand to the uk and making it easily accessable.

Ok..I'm going to set a challenge for the first silver fish of over 2lbs for 2013!

That would have been a very simple task for 2012, but looks as if 2013 was not tbe end of the world; but the end of the Dorset silver fish population :confused:

Your on mate!! Gettin kitted up now then open the freezer take aim with my 90 double banded them BOOM !!! Looks like i win guys! Now for my pize can i hav a new freezer as mine now has a hole in it.:'(

Sure, first tip go to the Guernsey forum and look for the Guernsey meet or fish in, I believe it is in August. You will see info from the 2012 meet and possibly 2013 one in there as well.

If that's not for you, post in there and I'm sure someone will help, also do a search on that thread as well.

Dinner tonight - the last 2 bass in the freezer! :waterwork:waterwork:waterwork

All that is left in there now is one large mullet.

I need to get out and get some fish! Looks like we've got a week of Northerly winds coming up, so hopefully there'll be some nice viz somewhere...
