Got in this morning at sun up... Fished the northern arm of the breakwater, lots of mullet and a thorn back ray, quiet on the bass front until I got to the northern entrance. Followed the Chanel down and this came at me from the murk. It turned just in range of my visibility and I took it. Weighed it at 6.5lbs. Vis ranged from 0.5-2.5M

On diving news hoping for a dip tomorrow after work, will let you know how crap the vis is!

Dlabrax- well done on the bass.

I just got back from a night dive, I bit further afield than usual, but it paid of with 4m vis and more fish than you can shake a spear at. Well it is wasn't that good for my brother, I gave him some bass as he blanked.

Anyways..a new spot again and this time it was a very vey very long swim and after 2 hours of mixed martial arts; it was hard going.
Got to the headland after a near 2 hour swim!!!! Begining to regret it thinking about the swim back...but my brother screamed out that he just missed a double figure bass!! I promptly headed towards him ans spotted it; but my brothers double turned out to be a nice fat 6lber..lol.....boom that went on my stringer, followed by several more around 3lb. Lots of 1.5-2lbers out there wich I leftalong with mullet under 4lb; managed 3 mullet in the 5lb range, then left the rest. I cud have took more than 10 mullet over 4lb.

After an hour I felt I had my fair share of good sized fish and took the long long swim back to the car...followed by the long long walk with a heavy stringer...

Will post pics aftwr I've had some sleep.

Sounds as though that is a well earned fish! Good effort and well done! I'm getting in this evening. Thinking about some shore dives (scuba) that I've done and found fishy marks. I remember a reef with boulders like cars and sand banks. It's good for crabs and lobster if nothing else! But I shall see if any silvers are lurking!
