Did anyone get in today? I am still recovering from the flu so didn't bother. However, I did go for a walk around Lulworth Cove and the surrounding area. The water looked clear at the waters edge. It looked like a nice afternoon to be out - the water was very flat even outside the cove.

Spent 5 hours out in a mates new rib :) didn't see much scared a bream off just as I was hitting the floor and seen a small group of pollock that was it. But had great fun messing about in the rib tho.

Drift dived Southbourne today. Away from the surf zone, once 2 meters under the vis was surprisingly good.. over 6 meters at times but mostly 4 meters or so - plenty enough for me and my 85cm gun.. the water was still a bit cloudy with bloom but not enough to prevent me from spotting things on the bottom. Near the surface in the bloom there were swarms of very tiny organisms which looked like baby jellyfish.

Mostly dived in about 8-10 meters of water. I adjusted my weight so I could hover a meter and half above the bottom and sight flatties.

Managed 3 sizeable plaice - 2 of which made a run for it so had to shoot them. Saw undersize ray, dab, gurnard and half a dozen huge jelly fish.

The season has finally started for me.

im in bristol for few weeks.took my kit with me. tomorow im off so thinking to go somewhere in portland or weymouth. what do you guys think about wisibility there? will be good?

Hey guys! First proper dive of the year on Sunday, I wanted to go to Mupe Rocks but ended up in ringstead. Swam right and within the an hour and a half ended up with 2 decent sized pollock, 1 sea bass and a lobby for the bbq. Got out and enjoyed the sun for the rest of the afternoon before heading back to Bristol. 2-4m vis. Wasn't diving more than 5m so was a nice session to ease me back into the season. Has anyone been to Mupe yet? It's intriguing from the Ariel pictures!
