I never thought i would get a british record fish then enter it in FOM only to vote for another fish caught by some body else.

I've moved into my new house with the young green eyed GF, and her honey-do list is near the end. I'm going to just post a image of the exotic woods this week end. At the end of the season I'll post a image of the award if that is OK ?

Guys, I'm glad I have you two in the LIC club to banter with as I have enjoyed reading about both of your exploits and plus I have serious Fibretech envy!!! One day though I might fancy 2 30's paired to help me get to those cod and turbot :t
Both of you are bloody great divers and the tuna was a bolt out of the blue!
Nick is a diving machine with mornings on the ocean some of us would smart at and it's dive time that pays. Ricky is storming up in the skills and diving challenging conditions that most would not be able to comprehend and may never will....
So in essence the respect is mutual guys.
Do want a cod though:head

I have a collection of Fibretechs at the moment Brett. The old is a far better boat for punching through the rough seas but not so stable as the new boat when stopped.
It was hard to tick the box for a tuna knowing my poor little Lemon sits alone with no votes and is a British record. He did make a tasty meal though.
I have been watching the bait shoals most days this week hoping to see thoses big spashes amongst them like i seen last year. Im all set up and ready for them if i see them this year.

Brett if it wasn't for your Tuna I would of voted for the cod, Ive been looking for them locally for years and put in more hours than I can remember with no reward....... but that tuna is mind blowing

I did vote for the Cod no disrespect to Brett for that Tuna, but i just thought it was a better catch - imagine having both fish in range at the same time and having to choose.... quiet life with chips, or sushi with the sun... hmmm thats a toughie...

Ricky, Cod out on the ledges deserves top respect but a (need to swear but not aloud) Tuna speared in UK waters, sorry mate but it had to have my vote.

I voted for the cod. Sounds like great diving accounted for it.
Surf 'n Spear's tuna is the fish I'd rather catch out of the two so maybe I voted wrong. What I don't understand though, is how anyone could vote for a sole or a bass when there're a tuna and an 18lb cod in the running.

Hi guys, just wondering what is a good sized mullet. Shot a fairly large one yesterday evening. Was a good 2 foot in length but never weight it as only just found out about the mullet comp this morning when reading the forum. It is gutted now and ready for the BBQ today. :t

5lb would be a good starting point to aim for, TL mullet can just manage double figures with the rod record being about 11lb.

Cheers for that, should they be weight before or after gutting. Will weight this one before I cook it. Seen bigger ones but not got my aim just right yet as it was only my second outing with the gun.

You would be better off weighting any entries before gutting!
You must take a photo of the fish alongside a news paper with the relevant date, most folk take a picture of the fish hanging on the scales too.
