Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
No problem entering the chat room here.

Glossary has been temporarily removed whilst we iron out all other bugs.

Chat systems are all operational so it must be a network issue between the local PC and the chat server. Will look into it a bit more.

You know when your fridge stops working, and as soon as the repair man with that frightful butt cleavage steps in the room, it starts working again...

Same with all my problems so far. CMS login works again, didnt have to do anything.

Stephan: Either you are baiting me on purpose, or youre some kind of super butt crack repair man...rofl

Posted news on the SA spearing incident.

Been having this problem since upgrade: When I log on I press 'new posts' and then press each of the 'go to first new post' buttons. I think it shows the correct threads but it focuses on old posts, could be a few days older. On this thread it actually loads the first page instead of the 3rd page...
Checked my settings and my time zone seems to be correct.

Having problems loading a new Avatar I get this:
Method Not Allowed

The requested method PUT is not allowed for the URL /vbseo.php.
Apache/2.0.46 (Red Hat) Server at forums.deeperblue.net Port 80

Hmmm - you are absolutely correct. I'll look into it.

I can't replicate this. Can you advise what steps you are going through to produce the problem.

I've made some changes - it should throw out the "newposts" for a little while but should settle down in a day or two. Let me know how it works out.

This may be related to the last question, but I just posted to a thread in Beginner Hunting, then clicked on new posts, and it my post didn't show up. However, when I went to the Beginner Hunting forum, the post was there.

Is that normal now?

Bill,

Is this the first time you've seen this behaviour recently (i.e in the last week) or does it happen everytime you post?

I think I've posted a couple of times since the changes with normal results, but its the first time I've seen this behavior. And by the way, my post asking this question to this forum got the same result. It didn't show up when I clicked on new posts. I guess I'll see if this one does.

Nope, that one didn't show up in new posts either. I had to do a search with my user name to find it.

Bill - which new posts are you clicking on? The one at the top left of each thread or the "new posts" in the navigation bar at the top (where it shows you your username details, User CP, etc..)

I'm clicking the one in the navigation bar.

That one didn't show up either. And just in case I'm not communicating clearly or don't know what I should be doing, the bar I refer to is the one with User CP, FAQ, Chat Room, Members List, Calendar, Search, Quick Links, and Log out.

In the past, when I posted to any thread, I could immediately click on New Posts in that bar and see my post at or near the top of the list, but they are not there now.

Ah.

The "New Posts" functionality in the Nav Bar is quite clever (even more so after the upgrades). Since you posted that message yourself you will not see it appear in there for you (as the system considers them "read" by you and hence not "new" to you). However everyone else will be able to see it in the "New Posts".

Hence why you don't see you immediate posts in the "New Posts" search.

OK, I even considered that possibility, but since it didn't work that way before, I wasn't sure. Also, since I wasn't seeing my own new posts, I wondered if I was missing someone else's too.

I guess I'll get used to it, but I wish I could see what everyone else is seeing.:)
