Good to see you're still around Tanky. Always good to hear reports on vis. See you're still active on the other site. Personally since Andy's going seems to me that that site is going to hell in a hand cart. The loonies are taking over the asylum. Well that's what it looks like to me at present and I'm keeping well out of it, but hope I'm proved wrong in time. It certainly was a great site with lots of good guys and the fact that few objected to us spearo's was a revelation to me. Don't suppose you've done much this year (none of us have) and you sold your mamba didn't you? Good fishing to you anyway, whatever the method.

I know what you mean about the other site... I wouldnt worry too much mate, theres just more people on it now and opinions differ - no big deal it's the natural course of things. The only thing that miffs me is that there are some people that post just to wind others up, but nevermind Ill continue to enjoy the site.

Yeah only been spearing twice this year i think and both occasions it was rubbish vis. Have been very tempted to go, nearly went this week and still might go tomoz. The way work is at the mo means i normally have to go alone which i dont mind but i feel better going with someone, my roster days change next month so will have some weekends free to hook up with fellow aqua fishers. Whats the sea temp like at the mo?

Sold the mamba yes, regretfully really, sounds stupid i know but since i sold it I dont think ive been able to hit anything - how wiered is that! The chap i sold it to (sam i think his name) assured me i'd get first refusal if he ever sold it, i wonder if he still has it and if he's still on here?

Gotta go, off fishing tonight. Laters

can you refresh my memory, i went through a torch phase (havnt stopped either!). I did buy an LED one but it wasnt up to the job so gave it to a mate, it was so cr4p i cant remember which one it was..

Next year im gonna be reviewing my gear and making neccesary upgrades, first on the list is a new suite and a new torch... Oh, and some new VIS!

eerrr uumm - I think it was a German LED thing that was very powerful -on paper at least not to mention expensive, you did put up a link?

I think Jonny has won the FOM for November as the only entry? Is that right Magpie? If it is I have the trophy so Jonny can contact me. I haven't made a December trophy so not sure if we are going to have a competition this month or not. I have made UK trophies up to and including December. We need to consider next year's FOM competition. All 12 months? April to December? UK only? CI and Uk? Any thoughts. Probably one for the moderators thread. Over to you Mart.

There was no formal FOM as far as i know Dave. It seems as bit pointless with so little diving being reported.

Who knows what the future of the site will be. I'd had enough of the grief and felt it was the right time to pull out. I think it will continue to thrive so long as nothing major changes which I can't see hapenning in the short term. If the breakaway group only consits of 4 people, good luck to them and if they want to have a free for all with no modding and plenty of mind speaking, I can't see it working and I very much look forward to having some fun

Now, how cold's the water and can I see anything?? How to you get cobwebs off them big rubber band thingys then??

But that will have to wait til January as some coppers gone and caught a bass of 3-2 and knocked me down to 11th in the bass club. NOT ON!! :martial
 
Hmmm... Not good and yet again and the doubles are pouring in. Several fish over 17lb but the commercials other than the Jersey chap have not bothered to claim anything. I had heard about some fish over the british record as well but the guys won't enter them.

I have got to the point of giving up trying to do anything locally with the state of inshore fishing and the ridiculous number of shore set nets now out of control (though of course 99% of them legal) with no restrictions or logging taking place.

All I want is a little bass!!
